Ep 175: Snow Way!

In this episode

Join us for the main discussion, practical takeaways, and stories from this episode of RC Plane Lab.

We got some snow here in Central Illinois, and decided to make the best of it by doing some snow flying. We also made it to the Rock River Aero Modelers Society swap meet in Janesville, WI. Tune in to hear how it all went!

[00:00:00] Hello everyone and welcome to the RC plane live podcast I'm Tom I'm Ron and

[00:00:16] I'm Dave he's something so excited and and then you just like got sad at the

[00:00:21] End well it was a it was a you called an audible like during the during the intro music there so I wasn't prepared to call the room to attention so to

[00:00:34] Speak said do you want to take it you like sure and you like I sat up and you got already and yeah it was a big disappointment wasn't it no it was great you did great you did very so anyway hey guys how are you I'm good we've done a few things the last couple weeks we have done a couple things we did we

[00:00:52] Don't see traveling yeah yeah we put some miles on the on the car a lot of most cars good trips good trip trip well Dave had trips I had trips yeah we had a

[00:01:05] Trip I don't know what you'll talk about I don't know how big this thing is

[00:01:09] I'm gonna buy it anyway does it fit it happens so sometimes even the places like Toledo it happens yeah you got room in your car no this seems to be a

[00:01:23] Daniel problem if you haven't noticed yes well this isn't a Daniel problem though the Daniel Paul it was a dangling hello I thought it was your plane no that's

[00:01:31] Daniels I traded my plane for it but it's Daniels I didn't know that I now have

[00:01:34] Cash in my hand for said plane nice oh perfect oh yeah that's that's what I said on our way home I was like I'm pretty sure that's for Daniel but but

[00:01:44] That it looked well we'll talk later but that looked like a Daniel plane Dave made the deal so I just assumed it was a Dave plane no no Dave's that was like up your

[00:01:57] Alley but okay yeah anyway Dave is Dave is unloading not loading reloading

[00:02:02] Daniel's got adding ton of big planes now he's got a lot and they're all sticks and a cub which did you see he's repainting the cub I did it looks really good guess what color cub yellow orange you should look at that I do like

[00:02:17] That orange is my favorite color just saying you have an orange shirt on

[00:02:21] Talking into an orange microphone yes while eating an orange and your glasses are orange no they're not but that'd be funny anyway no weirdos so yes new stuff you want to talk about new stuff there's only a couple things that we saw new go ahead that I've seen new one Dave brought up you want to go first sure they have no

[00:02:48] Notes but that's okay so this is all from memory from an email that I got looks like Freewing is re-releasing the Advanti S updated as a v2 I'm sure it's just electronic updates and so forth and they're bringing it back in the what they call the

[00:03:04] Very popular yellow scheme it's pretty sharp it's called the very popular yellow scheme yes it is that way you search for the very popular yellow scheme it's probably part of

[00:03:13] Their marketing yeah I'm sure it says the very popular that's why they brought it back

[00:03:18] Obviously because it's a sharp look very popular so it looks like the I'm assuming this is the pnp version because we should have done this beforehand totally unprepared which is which is us so the modus operandi freewing Avanti S v2 yellow 80 millimeter EDS sport jet pnp $3.99 aught aught good looking color scheme I like it with no pilot that just looks very odd in the pictures paint the canopy black call it a sport jet but I mean like seriously now look

[00:03:54] Yes it does it looks very yeah just white in there if it was painted black in there yeah that

[00:03:59] Would have been good too but whatever you can do it when you buy one yep modify it make it your

[00:04:05] Home that's right it's a good looking sport jet yeah what size 80 millimeter 80 millimeter here that seems to be a lately it seems to be like that good size yeah like a lot of releases

[00:04:20] I don't want to say a lot of releases makes it sound like a lot of releases but seems like there have

[00:04:25] Been releases recently in that 80 millimeter rig seems like you get a better performance out of the 80 than you do a 90 because it's dragging around the extra weight typically with the 90s yeah

[00:04:33] Yeah especially for the same battery writing 6s5 is 6,000 5,000 ish although that one probably could do 8s yeah I don't know the RF plus is 325 I'm trying to think quickly because

[00:04:50] Not down there in the specs we're not doing a very good job of the knee mill didn't have a whole lot in it has an improved landing gear design

[00:05:00] That's what it says okay the redesigned redesigned nose gear doors it's grass friendly

[00:05:08] Well that's good we do fly off grass here a sport jet like that should be just fine no it just says

[00:05:19] Six cell four to six thousand okay our light bulb battery well there you go probably does not need

[00:05:26] The oomph on the 8s the push but it seems like a lot of the releases lately the bigger jets from 80 and above seemed like they especially from fms and free wing are doing hate 8s capable so that's that either way cool I'm okay honestly with sticking with 6l I am too myself just because you don't have the weight penalty and this seems like a lighter airplane even with the less power still flies better

[00:05:53] I have but can you imagine the extra power being able to punch it even better I mean it would be

[00:05:57] Cool yeah but you just could burn through the pack faster yeah and you wouldn't be able to do the

[00:06:01] Cool slow alpha high alpha type stuff because of the wing load well you can do

[00:06:06] Different flights with different batteries that's true you're right what was that

[00:06:12] I'm not gonna repeat it it's gonna be your ringtone now I'm gonna record it real quick that out every time I call you run it'll direct it is real so I've got that's true your your text message reply

[00:06:25] Yeah sound yes right so something else new you told me about that I know nothing about

[00:06:32] And it affects me kind of it doesn't does it kind of so spectrum announced today the ix14 plus

[00:06:43] Se only missed it by eight months that's a long time though that's true a lot can happen at eight

[00:06:51] Months so what's new I was gonna say apparently this is the new updated version to match the ix20 se with the fun hall effect gimbals that are made of aluminum okay but not gonna lie I really like

[00:07:07] The gambles on my transmitter yeah did they add switches like the the nice rocker switches like what you have on your ix20 or she never switches or well I have they do this I'm yours I'm going sliders from side to side as yours yours has like the ones that you can I don't think

[00:07:24] They actually changed anything physically physically on it like that yeah yeah which if that's the case it makes me wonder maybe wouldn't it be nice there's the option to send it in oh no and have those replaced I mean I haven't had any trouble with my standard no I get it okay I understand but after using like I said that the the aluminum just the that feels so much nicer on your finger

[00:07:54] Okay yeah I've not flown with your transmitter enough to notice a difference I suppose if I flew with it more maybe I would notice it yeah it is what you're not what you're having to

[00:08:04] Experience I don't think it makes any difference in flying ability but feels good that's all that matters as long as you like it exactly right now so that came out pre-order I think it's supposed to be delivering in February kind of cool I want different colors or anything like that or is it the same same same same just a yeah same from what I was on it well no it says ix14 oh plus se se se's on the bottom so it is a new sticker I guess like I mean the bottom of the text on it do you

[00:08:39] Do a sticker yeah I'll just put a sticker on mine then

[00:08:45] I do need to get the orange grips for mine mine didn't come with orange grips I'm disappointed about that but I'll have to buy some mine came with it my x20 se came with them is that exactly what you sound like oh wow okay but that's like all we got that's new this week huh yeah it's all new airplanes balsa or foam so yeah that'd be it but we did get to do some

[00:09:15] Stuff so the last couple weeks so that was nice we flew off the snow we did that was fun that was I think that's my first time actually flying off the snow oh yeah maybe that I can remember yeah I'm gonna say that I think there might have been time before I did it but I don't not much remember

[00:09:33] To be honest it's cold out anyone outside well there's that that it's got to be a window of about five degrees where Ron will actually go out and fly but I feel as though you're mocking me

[00:09:45] And you are correct sir it's not that bad I flew everything I could fly you did yeah I gave you some credit so skis were hilarious okay what you're a hater and I don't like that so here's the thing Friday night well Friday afternoon maybe I don't remember what time it was Dave texts hey do you want to go flying tomorrow it snowed like it snowed a lot yeah it was about 10 inches on the

[00:10:16] Ground give or take and I'm like I why no I don't like I don't have anything that floats cold and it might be windy it wasn't supposed to be windy and it wasn't actually all that cold it was quite comfortable it I was away with a bad day honestly but except for the snow on the ground so I'm sitting there thinking okay well I don't have anything to fly and I'm going through in my mind inventory on what I can do I'm like oh what maybe I can just throw a quick quick pair of skis together

[00:10:45] For the slow ultra stick because that's an easy flying airplane it's not worried about anything so I was like yeah I'm in so I came home no clue what I'm doing by the way so I start to grab some salt now that's just not nice what was what was wrong with the design they were the size of a toddler shoe well toddlers are big it's a small airplane they were they were grossly undersized

[00:11:13] At any rate at any rate go ahead so I might have made them small but they were still they were pretty wide I don't know I think three inches wide maybe four I don't know what I cut it out of it was just the width of a sheet of balls I had there and long story short I was trying to figure out how to make it smooth so instead of like I was posting pictures we were talking on on discord and of course one of the guys on discord after I made it past that point so we can just put some like packing tape on the

[00:11:47] Bottom to make it smooth I'm like ah that's a good idea however I was already covering mine with the monocoat and all that kind of stuff they were beautiful they looked good and okay so here's the they looked small here's the thing I thought they looked fine sizeways by the way don't make fun of it

[00:12:06] I mean this little ultra stick is not a heavy airplane so I can see why you you would think

[00:12:11] A postage size stamp ski was bigger than a post-it note the big ones even just saying so I know so I ended up making that I might have just thrown in the towel towards the end when it came to mounting

[00:12:28] That's about the quickest dirtiest way I could see possibly even come close to working well it was

[00:12:33] Getting late and I was tired I'm like what do I have that's going to be easy so in my mind I'm trying to think okay do I get the computer out do I try and design like something to cut out on the laser cutter and all that kind of stuff I'm like oh it's it's like 6 30 it's late it's time for me to go to bed so 6 30 so anyway I finally decided I'm gonna look around see what I have if I have anything to work because all I need is a hole for for the the gear to slide in or to slide onto the

[00:13:03] Airplane and what do I come up with which I actually thought was brilliant by the way nobody else did but I thought it was brilliant so after going through my boxes of wheels I had nice not nice but nice for this application application sized wheels that came off of my original super cub that I bought the hobbies on super cub that I bought to learn on and I ended up cutting like right at the bot like I kept

[00:13:36] The tire off but right at the bottom of the actual rim itself and that tire believe it or not super glue stuck to that really well didn't melt it just stuck it nice and to the cover height to the covering no no I actually cut the covering out oh did you I took a lot of abuse and stayed put I was it did that's true right anyway so that's how I did it I just have wheels super glued to the top of some skates and for you haters in here I will say that no it might not have worked that day

[00:14:09] Because the snow was light and fluffy it was which Tommy yours didn't work all that great either no and those were factories and they were factory skis my point exactly it did work great on the carpet here before I took it to the field and it did work great like four days later once things kind of got hard packed got a little bit not hard hard but a little bit harder here there wasn't as fluffy snow I went out back just did a quick take off and came back and landed just just to make my just

[00:14:41] Fail vision like a champion and it worked what actually bothered me more than anything she had

[00:14:47] No centering ability to keep them up and I was just really worried that they were going to flop down and just dig in like giant breaks well I knew they weren't going to I was afraid they were going to do

[00:14:55] That in the air see I knew they weren't going to flop down because I didn't mount it to where it was heavy on the back so it would hinge down and not like get caught by the wind and just keep flinging around there was a little bit of forethought that went into where I put it and I like I was going to do the like the spring mountain stuff on it but honestly for that night I ran out you ran out of gumption and I was I got it to where it was good enough and and it would have been for all intents and purposes you flew off the snow thanks to those

[00:15:28] Skis well I landed on the snow because of those things it was I mean launched other units but still you did flying while there was snow on the ground I did fall these skis yeah there's no no chance it

[00:15:40] Would overrun in the runway because it just stopped well it just dug in like I mean that was the problem like it was just such a light like it really was a light snow it was blowing it was drifting it was not like a heavy good snow for making a snowman right or anything like that so I think that was the problem it had more than anything yeah if the heart if it was a wet snow you would have been fine oh yeah I honestly don't know if in that snow the the ones that I just bought would be any better but we'll talk about that in a little bit we'll see yeah so anyway but that was a slow ultra stick

[00:16:17] I did also take the cub on floats and was sorely disappointed that does not have a lot of power yeah did you figure out why like it oh that's how it's been I mean that's how it was at Joe Nall

[00:16:31] But at Joe Nall at least it had enough power to get off the water and the water has I would say

[00:16:37] More drag almost more drag that has a lot less drag than than the snow did I don't know it slipped and fell on a lake because you put your foot into the lake I don't I don't know how to the I I think you wouldn't have slipped and fallen on this snow either that is it was yeah did not sound

[00:16:58] Like it was making the power it didn't that it had a Joe Nall I really don't feel like it did sound

[00:17:04] The same to me yeah the battery is cold so that took some out of it you don't want to take him

[00:17:09] That much out of it I mean you're right a little bit okay well anyway yeah we were all disappointed

[00:17:14] By that I was cub is a flop yeah how about as you wind well I was gonna say actually I was able to get like taxing around a little bit when I went to take off and then it wasn't building up speed it was slowing down so I was getting scared that I was gonna have to go out and get it so I was able to get it back to us enough to where I wasn't going out on the runway yeah because I didn't want to walk across the runway and then just have hoof prints all the way across trying to get somebody else wasn't me so that's all the mail I mean there was a few of my footsteps out there

[00:17:46] Too but yeah but it was in the middle it was way went down and came across but at any rate yeah I was disappointed by the cub too I thought for sure that would it would have no problems on the snow

[00:17:58] But so I'm having a swansery about that airplane right now and I don't know what to do so it needs

[00:18:03] Recovered you've seen the covering that's a lot of work because that's a lot of small airplane and well it's fairly light or 50 size right it's fairly light lightly constructed so you have to be really really careful and you can't shrink it too much otherwise it'll warp it

[00:18:18] Like yeah stuff so I'm sorry no that's a good job I'm you're helping make my decision easier sorry but it's it's one of those that I've thought about just going through turning the covering off replacing everything inside new servos new electronics new power system new power system new receiver yeah just then you can buy a whole new one for the same price yes that's kind of where I'm at at this point so I don't know what I want to do with that yet yeah I I get that but I want balsa like I don't

[00:18:49] Want just like a well that new new ish now hanger nine cub would be a would be a nice upgrade that would be a lot bigger yes it's a lot bigger I'd like to stick with that size oh I see okay just for storage

[00:19:02] For portability and that size though and if you want balsa your selections are extremely limited

[00:19:08] Right and that's the part that's making me lean towards fixing it putting the work in just so I have an actual cub I can do stuff with yeah I get it I think that would be more fun with more power like it flew at jonol scale like it was yes almost full throttle the whole time it was seven eighths

[00:19:27] Throttle I mean it definitely a fury quarter behind the power curve yeah most of the time and that's

[00:19:34] What I mean it's not overly powered it's not like I wasn't surprised the more I thought about it right

[00:19:40] Yeah yeah I see your quandary I mean it would probably be like if that's the size you want to stick with and you want to stick with balsa it's probably worth the the time to put in it might be my

[00:19:53] Only option yeah yeah hard to do no I don't just take time just another plot's another magic I know right that's what's stopping me it's like I could just sell it and forget all about it and not have

[00:20:04] Another project or have another project well you can do that too I guess I don't know I have so you you have a couple of recovering projects right now but more than a couple I guess we don't need to talk about that but one of those you can blame on me by not being able to recover because the airframe's not complete until I finish the nose yeah so you

[00:20:27] Can put that off on me no I'm not going to that's that's on me it's just time like there's always stuff and I'm sick of saying that but it's true it's always something but the cub and the slow

[00:20:37] Ultra stick were not the only planes you took to fly off the snow no sorry no it's okay so I did take

[00:20:46] The sea wind figure that was a good one I've only flown that at joan all so I figured that'd be a good one to try and get out and fly I did so let's let's just say that one I didn't fully set up as well as I set up other airplanes okay so I didn't do what does for some reason I didn't go through and do the the call outs on switches ah so I went through and did my pre-flight and all that kind

[00:21:22] Of stuff haven't flown it I don't know at all honestly I think I've got like two flights on that thing and did my pre-flights everything everything moved didn't move much but everything moved so I no big deal I remember thinking like that's not a lot of throw but okay I mean some airplanes don't have a lot of throw I flew it or last summer and he was fine last time I flew it so so took off and I couldn't bank more than like 10 or 15 degrees and like I was at full throttle and

[00:21:58] It was going away from me still and I had barely had a turn barely had the ability to bring it around did actually bring it around to where it was coming towards -huh did bring it around to where it was coming towards me and then I just I could not keep it in the air like it just slowly descended and landed I will say landed because I don't want to say it was a crash yeah it didn't break anything it landed farther away than I wanted to and I actually like I was concerned what

[00:22:30] It was going to look like when I got out there and the location that it came to rest was not in a

[00:22:38] Position that you could then taxi back no it it buried itself because there was a lot of snow

[00:22:43] So the soft fluffy snow came to our rescue this time and that yeah and that probably saved the

[00:22:49] Airplane but no harm no foul made the trek all the way out there Piper and Crystal came with me

[00:22:58] So they came out and that was hilarious yeah Piper's down what was was I flying Piper down yeah was I

[00:23:04] Flying your airplane and you kept saying that I I don't know because I think that's why I didn't see the event we'll call it an event because I think I was flying Dave's airplane he kept saying oh Piper's down oh Piper's down because she kept falling down in the snow while you guys were walking out there to get the airplane well it was kind of taller he said it like four or five times and I just thought that was really funny because she's just little and yeah seeing her fall over in

[00:23:31] Her big fluffy coat in the snow would have been funny well so we went out we got it I was carrying it back and she kept telling me crash again so I can go out in the field and get it I'm like I didn't crash again crash honey thank you very much appreciate that and secondly no like right it's not the that's not the that's not the plan it's not the point of coming out here and doing this but thank you appreciate the the gumption as a face when I said juice no so anyway brought it back up no harm no foul figured out that I had it in safe mode

[00:24:07] And so then I flipped that switch off it was three position switch usually when I set stuff up and this like I said this was set up differently than what I have been accustomed to doing more recently I guess not the as3x plus stuff I didn't update that I didn't do any of the new setup or anything on it so the switch actually the positions were backwards from what I usually do so normally up and away for me it's slight it's normal yeah that's what I want to be in the air

[00:24:39] So anything else I have to make it or bring the switch down for flaps or for anything like that so having it up I thought I was fine wasn't and you good yeah I just had a thought I'm gonna write this down before I forget oh and anyway so having stuff or having a switch is backwards kind of mess with me figure that out pretty quick what was going on went up again and it was getting blown around quite a bit like it it was flying okay but not like flying

[00:25:14] Great there was a little bit of wind there was a little bit of turbulence and all that kind of stuff right after like a couple laps of trying to figure it out like I started trying to retrim it and stuff too because it kept kind of going like away from me because obviously the wind was in our back not realizing that's what it was doing right finally found out then that I had as3x turned off because of the switch positions again and no call outs and once I got the switch in the right position it flew great like it did when I was at Joe Null and what I remembered yeah so it's a good flying

[00:25:47] Airplane so you're still going to keep it then no I don't think because I know it's there you were you were kind of disappointed slash frustrated and you had you had indicated that you would be

[00:26:00] Offloading that one and I'm still thinking I'm going to and here's the reason why this is the biggest problem I have with that airplane unless you're buying it from me when we're at a swap meet then it's perfect and it's great no but seriously the one thing I don't like about it the way it's set up for flaps the flap servo is inside the fuselage and so it has push rods that run from the wing that I would like to take off because it's a fairly decent sized airplane to keep in one piece

[00:26:32] The wing to remove that you have to undo the set screws inside the fuselage yeah for each wing and

[00:26:40] Then reset it every time you as a time you do yeah that's kind of a pain and that's the part I don't

[00:26:45] Like that's why Daniel's beaver has to stand one piece because it's a pain in the butt to take apart because you have to you could you how big is his beaver though it's pretty good size

[00:26:55] It's I mean is that like I don't remember is that 36 inches or something or is that between 36 and 48 it's a big that's a that's a good size it's a good size yeah that's gonna say a good size range

[00:27:08] But something you could do I mean you you could figure out how long that push rod needs to be and instead of using like an easy connector or a screw connector or whatever it is just put a z-bend in both ends I have and you still have to it will start it yeah yeah that would be hard to do it stinks

[00:27:29] I know there's just no good like it needs to have the servos in the wing in the wing yeah now they did that to try and keep it out of the the water maybe yeah well just do you fly it with

[00:27:40] Flaps just lock the flaps out help I'll do that yeah that's a bummer but that's we got space to

[00:27:48] Keep it in one piece it's a non-issue but it takes up a lot of room yeah somebody like me who's or dave who's space for me like I'm out of space to stop making the face come on I'm not making any

[00:27:59] Faces you're making I'm not making any faces that is a face but no I see your point and that might

[00:28:07] Be a good candidate to take to Toledo yes I'm making a list in my mind of things to go yes and it's growing immensely am I about so was that it was that all you took to fly that I took to fly no actually I took the umx ultrax also I thought crystal might want to fly she decided against

[00:28:28] It it was cold there were too many people well and it was yeah I guess I get that it wasn't

[00:28:36] Terribly cold I even took my mitt the the glove and I didn't even use it I had never even got cold yeah

[00:28:42] Yeah that's true yeah my toes didn't for my toes got cold to me I was able to fly for an entire

[00:28:49] Battery without losing feeling in my thumbs yeah so that was how we're worrying about it right what about you guys what'd you bring what'd you fly what'd you do what'd you hey go ahead I brought

[00:28:58] Two aircraft I bought brought my Polaris EX flying boat and it I flung it off of snow a lot it's it's a no it's a no-brainer it's just fine so for those that are not familiar it's very similar to

[00:29:12] A North Star or an not an Enforcer but the the North Star from Balsa USA only a flat foamy right

[00:29:19] Yeah yeah just fly is awesome for what it is a great flying little airplane flies off water just like it flies off the snow flies off of grass just like it flies off the snow yeah it's good utility all-around airplane no wheels no wheels needed yeah that's a good all-purpose airplane yeah so I knew that one was going to be fine especially with that fluffy snow no problem I knew that was going to be a no-brainer yep and then the other one I brought was my FMS 1700 Super Cub on skis on skis and I brought the floats just in case because these skis were actually off of

[00:29:55] My Grand Tundra okay which was a bigger airplane right in certain respects I think they're both 1700 millimeters but the Grand Tundra was a more robust larger like a weightier yeah a little weightier

[00:30:09] Airplane so it would have had bigger skis yeah saying yes I thought I thought the skis you brought were the ones that came with that airplane no so that makes more sense to me than why his did so

[00:30:20] Well I don't believe they even make skis for that airplane but I was ready to throw the floats on it just in case things didn't work out but it worked beautifully oh yeah I couldn't ask for anything

[00:30:30] Better yeah we took videos of it and posted it on the on our Facebook page it does fine with those

[00:30:36] Skis yeah that perfect combination and of course it's just a wonderful flying airplane

[00:30:41] Mm-hmm yeah I finally got to fly it it does it flies it flies excellent yeah my only trouble I had

[00:30:47] With it I was doing stupid things I was doing the the one-wheel cub thing and I was rocking it back and forth between the left ski the right ski left ski right ski and it beat you and it was getting later in the day and resolution was getting a little lower and a white wing on white snow with a white background yep yeah I dragged one wing tip and it just dug right in yep Tommy thankfully had to

[00:31:11] Go turn it around for me it was no big deal I just put it back on top of the snow and you taxi back yeah so no harm no foul so that's all I did yeah wonderful flying combination yeah all I took was the the old FMS Kingfisher and the skis that come with that one are too small yeah I when I saw them I was like yeah don't look for for the type of snow that we had hard pack I'm sure it's fine yeah fine

[00:31:35] Yeah I saw those and I thought my skis were perfectly fine just saying I can't take credit for the size of

[00:31:41] The skis on the Kingfisher because I didn't design them that's what came with the airplane yeah apparently they have different snow in China I something I mean they kind of I like the setup worked yeah they were bigger yeah if they were just a little bit wider and longer yeah so but I mean that's a common complaint yeah I was still able to to fly I just couldn't really do touch and goes

[00:32:03] Yeah you had to be careful with your touchdowns they would dig right in it'll un-touches

[00:32:07] Yeah and touches stops yeah touches and stops yeah but I think that was yeah that was I got like four flights because I have four batteries that fit that one we have no power in our field to recharge so yeah I don't think I took I didn't take anything else so it was a good day yep nobody crashed nobody took planes home in pieces yeah Reggie was there he flew the the giant cub well whatever that the carbon ss carbon z carbon the orange one yeah the big orange one

[00:32:37] And then he tried to fly the ec what is it ec oh the ec 1500 1500 which he did fly he didn't yeah he got it yeah he had to just kind of keep the nose up that nose ski wasn't big enough yeah if he had

[00:32:49] The skis on it yeah I didn't catch that yeah but same thing where skis are just too small for that type of snow yeah once again I think it was a harder snow oh no yeah well none of us would have had any trouble had we had unless snow or wetter a little yeah exactly wetter that's a

[00:33:07] Good if it was wetter if it was a wetter snow there's a wet snow there's dry snow there's some dry factory yeah yeah the snow we had was fluffy and deep yeah so I wasn't sure about getting back to the field to be honest with you I'm glad you went back first only like not necessarily being afraid of getting stuck but I was concerned with where the hell's the road oh yeah it wasn't easy to see

[00:33:33] And I'm not entirely sure I stayed on it to be honest I was the first one there well we all followed your track yeah so but yeah that car of mine does it does awesome and conditions like

[00:33:44] That and I knew the exhibition was going to be fine yeah you don't think it's the car I'll call you

[00:33:49] Here's the car that's an SUV oh well whatever that's nice yeah it's like the because it sits a little bit higher so it does better in the snow that regular car doesn't sit much higher than a

[00:33:57] Car does sits higher than mine I think yours is more of a crossover yeah either way it does a good

[00:34:04] Job in the snow so I was yeah I was really surprised you were sitting back there with no no issues none

[00:34:08] Whatsoever and it is it was deep in spots too it was at least a couple places it was very deep yeah

[00:34:14] You were plowing it with your yeah with the fish or whatever it is yeah but all in all a pretty good day I'm glad we went and me too thanks Dave good idea I appreciate that there's you guys coming out and playing Dave's idea so so I said thanks Dave yes because it was a good idea I didn't say thanks Tommy because it wasn't your idea okay still want to go night fly in the snow oh no thanks Dave you realize it gets colder at night right you also realize the wind usually quits

[00:34:47] Yeah it's still colder at night I'd be game for that yeah I think that reflecting off yeah that

[00:34:54] Would be really cool oh I don't know what I would I mean really all I have right now that would be off the snow anyway with lights would be the radian yeah that's really all I got that

[00:35:05] Still look cool I got wood yeah I got loners

[00:35:10] That's true so anyway yeah that was digging my skis of work now they might out there actually I bet they would work really red right mine now maybe we should see what Saturday looks like okay we'll see

[00:35:25] Yeah Saturday night oh I gotta get up early Sunday though well that's not that early

[00:35:33] Yeah not that early and yes dark early dark by the way dark is 5 30 so it will not like you can be home after flying at night now at 6 15 especially if it's really cold maybe 10 after

[00:35:52] Oh this is stupid I'm late but yeah how about anyway yeah it was it was a good time what else

[00:36:00] We got smalls Dave was starting to say speaking of getting that high stupid early more in the morning I was up at 2 a.m to go to me too Jamesville Wisconsin yeah stupid early

[00:36:15] Yeah really yeah so we went to the rock river aero modeler society swap meet they moved it this year which was a very excellent necessary thing to do and a lot better venue last year it was in beloit if I remember right yes yes and this year they moved it farther for us thanks guys oh it's

[00:36:37] Like 10 minutes it wasn't very far but it was farther am I wrong no no but anyway it was a much

[00:36:44] Bigger bigger building much better setup and it it was a nice little swap meet it was a nice one I've

[00:36:50] Been to short at Toledo yeah before we start talking about like what we did or did not purchase I finally finally got to meet Terry Dunn and Terry Dunn finally got to meet me and see that I am not AI or some kind of made up person so I'm really happy to now say that Terry and I have made acquaintance and hopefully we'll meet each other again in the future see each other again in the future do

[00:37:20] Hobby stuff again in the future how about that stuff yeah yeah no it was good that the circle was finally closed or the whatever the dots were finally connected the yes however you want to I will finally put it yes it's not as fun now how many years has been now I know it's been a couple

[00:37:38] Right almost two years I think well because last year yeah easily yeah it's been a while so well

[00:37:46] Because Joe and all was a year and a half ago with Fitz and Lee that's right and we knew him before that

[00:37:53] I could talk to him and stuff yeah so yeah anyway yeah I'm glad to have finally met Terry Terry's cool cat I like him yeah he's okay can't wait to hang out with him again he's not bad I mean he gave me an airplane I mean just a just an all-around cool guy yeah he's all right anyway thanks Terry if you're listening I appreciate the airplane I'm going to get started on it shortly and I'm probably going to

[00:38:24] Be done with mine before Ron's done yes Terry's a nice guy we all appreciate Terry RC roundtable I'm sad that he gave you the airplane so soon I wish you would have waited I don't know another six or eight months so I've had a chance to be done I mean it'll take an evening like yeah I gotta figure out electronics though that's the biggest thing I don't have yeah I don't even know where to begin

[00:38:52] Small is it one of those Amazon little power kits we were talking smaller than that oh really smaller

[00:38:56] Okay I think he was a 2s800 on his or something oh yeah we'll have to ask him yeah that's how he uses

[00:39:03] All right yeah 2208 maybe Terry if you're listening send Ron or I or both of us or all three of us even what we need to power these little guys with thanks let's just use this to get a personal message out that we can very easily I mean I'm lazy so if I don't have to type something so much

[00:39:22] The better wow I know my little so yeah swap me swap me you met Terry there yep I sold nothing

[00:39:32] Yeah you didn't take anything and you didn't buy anything I bought nothing we were checking his

[00:39:37] Temperature yeah there was something wrong yeah I mean there was stuff there that you liked but nothing really not yeah that pushed you towards pulling the wad of cash out of your pocket and

[00:39:47] Handing it over to somebody I know I was really surprised unlike you I was proud of you with what

[00:39:54] You bought yeah well I mean only because you like it only because I didn't have to buy it yeah that's

[00:40:00] What say what you from buying it is that what happened that's exactly what happened but I was I

[00:40:04] Mean I told myself like it was so okay so what we're talking about here is the the e-flight the f-18 blue angel edition 80 mil 80 millimeter that Ron has two of now as soon as we walked in

[00:40:21] What Dave he's working on have the entire flight crew I'll say seven I said blue angels he's got the gray one too so he has three of these things so he has half has half the flight demonstration squadron

[00:40:32] Exactly yeah at any rate as soon as we walk in like and that's another thing so we got there pretty early there's about a half hour early and then by the time we figured out where to go in and all that kind of stuff half hour early before setup I was gonna say right yeah no like open yeah the door is open like an hour and a half after we got there supposed to be open to people

[00:40:57] Getting tables an hour before they most open to people getting tables at seven right and I think

[00:41:02] We ended up showing up like 6 23 yeah it was we were early we made good time getting there didn't we didn't stop it yeah we didn't have to stop anywhere which normally we stop somewhere but it was so early in the morning nothing was open anyway we get in because they're letting people in already which was surprising and we get in and there's already guys setting up tables and like we walk in and we figure out what tables we're going to grab and the first thing I see is one of these e-flight f-18s in a box up on a shelf I'm like hey that's kind of cool and then

[00:41:36] Kind of told myself I was like well if I do well today if I sell the stuff I'm getting rid of and if I make a little bit of money maybe I'll buy that and I did which surprised me because this is what

[00:41:51] Tommy does this is usually what happens oh I like that I think I'm going to buy that to which you and I like the same things a lot we did so I'm like all right Tommy's gonna buy that cool I don't have to and then Tommy hems and haws goes back and forth then Tommy talks himself out of it without telling Ron without telling me that he's not getting it so then it usually gets sold to somebody else Tommy's like oh I wasn't gonna get it anyway I'm like really yeah but no you actually

[00:42:27] Walked no I made a pact kind of with myself I I do like that airplane I like your airplane actually I've liked it since I had to work on the first one of yours the gray one because it's nice it's well I think it's well done it looks good well engineered it looks right the proportions are right for a foamy okay it looks pretty pretty darn good and it seems to fly good

[00:42:52] So yeah I made a pact with myself I took what three airplanes complete ready or I don't even remember what you're talking that bad well they weren't like bind and fly but they were completed well one of them was bind and fly anyway I sold enough to where I made a pact with myself I said if I make what it would cost to buy that airplane I'll just buy it and there's no hem-hawing I'm not gonna go over there and talk to the guy like other people would do hey what would you take and then walk away blah blah I just said I'm gonna buy that if I sell this and I sold the

[00:43:25] Stuff I needed to sell and went over there and just bought it didn't even think about it very nice yeah I was glad you and it didn't take long honestly I sold sold a lot of the stuff like even before I think technically the doors were open to the public which that's how swap meets go that's why it's best to get a table yeah anyway yep I bought that and then the same guy had an x-fly su-27 it's a twin it's a kind of a unique setup it's a twin 50 millimeter edf foamy of course

[00:43:59] But you can you can fly it with the gear off or the gear on doesn't have re-tracks but it came with a ar-631 receiver so I yeah I bought that for a really good price took it home

[00:44:11] And it's already programmed to as3x plus and it's got the launch hand-in-down mode already

[00:44:17] Enabled and I'm ready to go so those are the two airplanes I bought so do you plan on flying that first with gear on yeah yeah yes well that'll be a that'll be a maiden at at eli if it's

[00:44:29] That way I think that you don't have to deal with that instant hand launch right well and then you can

[00:44:34] Tell you can see what speed does it take off how much do I have to throw it well yeah it's a

[00:44:41] Good idea to have it done that way it came from x-fly with the it doesn't have flaps just has ailerons but the it has the ailerons wide right into a channel same for the elevators it's not a full flying stab it's got elevators but the same thing they are wide into one channel so I undid all that and I plugged the elevators separately and I plugged the ailerons in separately so I can do flapperons and I can also mix the elevators in with ailerons too in certain flight modes so I get

[00:45:12] Like really crazy roll rates and things like that that's the plan we'll see something fun to tinker with

[00:45:17] Yeah crash whatever or crash yeah but then you got invested in it it's a good experiment yeah

[00:45:22] If I crash the airplane I still have a receiver that's worth more than what I paid for the entire airplane I agree so I think I did okay excellent job you did yep and I feel like I got a fair deal

[00:45:32] On the on the f-18 as well it's brand new in the box like we won't talk about they had never when

[00:45:37] Oh it was a is buying to fly by the way so it has the nice has everything in it so it's way better than ron's it's way better than ron's and I paid for less for it than what ron paid

[00:45:47] For his so anyway no but like good for you no I didn't I mean like I'm good for you I don't mean that sarcastically like I'm good for you but yeah good for you to this day of all the the swap meets I've been to all the stores I've been to and stuff I've only seen two of those in a box and I'm pretty sure just that one other one for sale so you don't see them often oh the one you

[00:46:19] Bought at jonal yeah or the one you yeah okay I don't remember seeing any other ones yeah I don't recall seeing them either ever yeah I've never seen other well I've never seen the great one

[00:46:27] Other than the one you bought indicator of all places yeah so of I guess of all of them I have seen for sale between the two of us we have bought them all I'm not buying anymore I've got one that

[00:46:40] Might for me yeah I mean if you find one that's as good a deal as I got you should buy it I think

[00:46:46] They fly great yes I can't wait to fly haven't actually flown well the only thing that with

[00:46:53] Mine I I will probably I haven't decided yet to what to do with the what about the receiver situation switch out I mean it would be okay but still well I would like to kind of set it up the way I set up this little x-ly thing I would like to set up the flaps separately and of course the aileron separately and the and the stabs separately that's six channels or functions if you will so I would need a a minimum probably of a 10 channel and now I don't think an 8 channel would cut it because you got a flap and then you've got retracts and that one has flaps my mind just went

[00:47:28] Blank on it it does it okay yeah so anyway I couldn't remember between that one these small ones that I've got at a minimum I would need to buy the a channel the as3x plus one whichever

[00:47:39] What is that the a360t is that what it is I don't know it starts with an eight either way haven't decided what I'm going to do about that yet but probably I'll I'll eventually upgrade the receiver yeah but otherwise yeah I'm excited to fly that one too that'll be fun summer mm-hmm yep Dave

[00:48:00] I bought the best thing ever he did yeah yeah I spent ten dollars more than I spent there that's true that's true I've bought a box of wheels it was a good deal though there was a lot of good stuff

[00:48:16] Yeah there's a lot of good well and there was a strut in there too there's one of those all parts yeah yeah good deal there's 30 bucks right there right if I hadn't bought the airplanes I probably would have scoured around and bought some stock to keep in the workshop you think so I mean like I don't know I mean you've done it before you've bought cases of stuff that I haven't bought anything like that in a while neither have I I need to restock so you bought all those propellers and didn't want them so they're sitting down here now that's been a while ago yeah but that's a ton of

[00:48:49] Propellers it is it's a lot of propellers have you used any no if I used any yeah no yeah I've used a

[00:48:55] Couple of the ones that actually for me yeah I oh I saved a couple or used a couple nice actually one of them is on the t38 that dave built for me huh cool yep I don't know what I know like I took one off of it for some reason to put it on something else but anyway it's kind of an oddball size I think

[00:49:13] They're four and three quarter by four and three quarters yeah it's supposed to be on there yeah

[00:49:16] They're square what I would call a square propeller so yeah there was some in that and I had a quarter anyway yeah I don't have to buy wheels for a while Daniel and Reggie also went what did

[00:49:29] Daniel buy absolutely nothing oh sha what did Reggie buy absolutely not he didn't buy he tried to

[00:49:40] Though but he he gave up too early he dilly-dallied too much and lost out on the deal yeah so he was

[00:49:46] Looking at a b2 they're the big free that big free wing yeah which I thought I didn't look close at it so whatever but it felt like a really good deal that he could have it was looked to me

[00:50:02] Like it was he got an astonishing deal offered to him yeah why he didn't and he passed even and he

[00:50:07] Really wants one of those yeah he's weird I wasn't gonna say that but oh sorry well I don't take it back but I mean the day of spending wasn't over at the SWAT meet like because we made a we made a small detour on the way home we did we went to Brian's on the

[00:50:22] Way home dynamic or dynamic balsa easy for you to say it was wasn't it I just bought a couple receivers that I wanted and some glue need some more super glue what else did I get just a couple different skis different size skis and that was it it's always fun going to Brian's because I like

[00:50:45] Seeing so I gauge the interest or his prices on used airplanes based on what was there previously

[00:50:56] The last time I was there which for me had been over a year and there are a lot of airplanes that have been there for several visits okay so but then some airplanes come and go and you don't even see them right so I guess it's really kind of hard to to see how he is on pricing that way but I mean I guess at the end of the day if it's a price you're willing to pay then it's worth it to you whatever it is but there were a couple of airplanes upstairs that

[00:51:26] I was interested in but we couldn't find the wing I said we we did I played the where is the fuselage

[00:51:33] To match this wing yeah or vice versa right but Daniel found a combination up there yeah which I

[00:51:39] Still thought it was Dave so what was the whole how did this go then sorry so I was confused if

[00:51:45] Y'all don't know that Daniel's got a thing for giant stick with g38s in them loud g38s in them I've lost track of how many he has at this point but he's got several of these big sticks

[00:52:01] And he found one that he's doesn't have yet there's a low wing stick and it's not a stick we don't know actually what it is yeah but it's a low winger and it was looked like it's brand new it had a us-41 on it so not a real powerhouse engine but yeah it doesn't look like it's ever been flown way more horsepower than this thing needs hopefully not as loud as a g38s it's got the same muffler oh wonderful yeah a resonator augmenter it's more like a look by yeah bear pull fire there

[00:52:33] You go but anyway it's got a us-41 on it nice build not the best covering job i've ever seen but it looks new just whoever covered it's not the best but it's it's perfectly acceptable it's it's fine that's what we go for it's fine it's fine it looks essentially new no receiver in it but everything else is there had servos and had servos and no no receiver but it has switch which i

[00:53:04] Know if i trust the switch i myself would probably throw it away and put a new one in but eh whatever but everything else looks new ish it's in olive drab which is different i've not seen a stick in olive drab it actually looks pretty good so it doesn't look bad it's got yellow markings on the tail but it's not a military scheme which is kind of weird usually when you see something on olive drab it's going to have military scheme of some sort so i just what they had left over and you had to cover it a lot a lot of delivering yeah what i'm not real crazy about it it's got

[00:53:38] Some fluorescent trim on the top of the wing it's different yeah it's definitely different it is

[00:53:43] Different yeah it's like somebody color it was colorblind or something i don't know maybe maybe they did that for visibility i don't know it's on there it's okay it'll work it'll fly it's it's red and yellow and blue and olive drab anyway yeah good deal great color combination yeah yeah yeah i feel like baby puke but he does apparently asked brian about the price on it and it was a little more than he was willing to pay a little more than he actually had on him

[00:54:15] But i had a a trade item with me i i still was packing around my top flight p40 so sad it's it was hard to get rid of but such a beautiful airplane we didn't even swap for it so daniel's got himself a big stick a giant sweet and low stick kind of ish yeah it's got inflatable tires on it overall it's pretty nice and i have gotten rid of my p40 which and now you have some

[00:54:48] Extra room yeah i've got room actually i got a place to put my navalized cub so the cub as soon as it warms up we'll go out to the garage and live where the p40 used to live nice because right now i

[00:55:00] Have nowhere to put it so it's still on the work bench well i mean it is what it is yeah

[00:55:04] So and i've been wanting to get rid of that airplane because i can't bring myself to fly it i've got way too much in it and way too much time in it yeah i had to phone it for you i'm sure you would have so it's gone i no longer have to worry about it yep we went to put daniel's plane in

[00:55:24] His truck which we took yeah we took you guys you guys had to take daniel's truck because your your expedition is still kind of the transition is roofie but not really yeah so but i mean it's a truck i mean it's a full-size nissan design truck i mean lots of room in the bed yeah no

[00:55:46] So reggie and i went out and messed with it and keep in mind this is like six degrees outside his wind's blowing yeah so reggie and i go out and try to stuff this thing in the truck we need to get the fuselage in the bed or and get the wing but but not both

[00:56:01] One-piece wing big one-piece wing yeah big one-piece wing yeah it only fits in the bed

[00:56:07] Diagonally barely so well daniel didn't take the trailer obviously we didn't take the trailer as well

[00:56:15] But he will have to take the trailer if he's going to do that in one trip to our field unless he

[00:56:21] Transports it with the tailgate down or something yeah no it'll have to definitely live in the

[00:56:24] Trailer tried to stick it in your truck yeah it would not fit in my vehicle

[00:56:32] So we tried two trips to dynamic balsa in 48 hours oh gosh so we were off monday because of the holiday and yeah so yeah we went up first thing monday morning did you buy anything else while you were there daniel did buy something else what do you buy he bought himself a vintage goldberg elettro in the kit in the box so nice so did you notice he had a giant sweet and low stick

[00:56:55] In the box too i didn't look yep just across from the from the checkout counter it's on the

[00:57:02] Shelves up there and i got it's been there a while two triangle pieces of stock

[00:57:10] So it wasn't a wasted trip to 38 cents worth of balsa for 50 a day and he didn't even have the size that i needed no well that's right so yeah i got two sticks and daniel bought two airplanes and daniel bought two sticks almost yeah i see what you did there two sticks there's just sticks yeah this will be a final lie yeah so yeah i think so so is he going to build that electra then

[00:57:36] I believe so yes or is he going to first airplane he ever built was an electric oh really so i bought this as a cool sentiment yeah yeah i think that's new in the box it had a set of wheels and landing gear and stuff in it it's like who puts landing gear in electro but hot anyway so he's got more

[00:57:55] Wheels probably throwing my box of wheels now you got a 10 and 20 cent box of wheels see making money oh cool so yeah worked out it was a good time i'm glad i got to meet terry and i'm glad i got to get

[00:58:09] An f-18 and the s-27 was icing on the cake nice i had no cake i had no icing well if you bought some

[00:58:18] Cake on the way home you did get a couple of receivers i guess yeah skis not exciting stuff glue yeah it's kind of exciting one in the airplane because you're gonna put those receivers in airplanes presumably so there you go that's kind of exciting yeah i think i only needed one

[00:58:34] I bought one just in case you bought two you only needed one i needed one yes so i bought that one and i bought one just in case oh you bought an extra one just in case yes cool anyway you guys good or

[00:58:49] What else like yeah that was i think that's it just been doing some building got stuff going on

[00:58:56] On the table you guys building anything i don't know me building so terry while we were at the swap meet he was unable to sell his little foamy profile xb70 oh i forgot about that so i like that airplane i looked at it and i set it off the side i was going to talk to him about later see if he'd take 20 bucks for it because he had 30 on it but i'm hey i'm cheap what i was gonna give him the 30

[00:59:29] For it to be honest until you guys did whatever and i was like oh okay i just sat off side and got

[00:59:34] Busy packing stuff up and forgot about it and terry just walks over and hands me this thing i said here you go thank you took it home stripped it down filled all the nicks and i've been stripped hold on

[00:59:46] Stripped it down by the way this is a profile foamy stripped it down go on i don't even know what that means with the profile foamy took all the electronics out of it took electronics out of it took the decals off of it there is no out of it it's off of it everything is on it

[01:00:03] You're not wrong anymore there's nothing on it now other than just the filler and maybe some

[01:00:10] Primer filling and sanding on it for a week now it's ready for a coat of paint new decals so it's

[01:00:16] Getting painted it's getting painted yeah profile foamy getting filled sanded and painted you're

[01:00:23] Gonna paint it white of course it's xb70 it's made of white foam you got that too yep well it's balsa filler which is white however it's not white white it's okay tan white needs to have like a

[01:00:40] Foam filler or something because it's not balsa no it's just

[01:00:46] Anyway anyway the whites don't match it has to look good and i got white paint laying around so

[01:00:52] It's going to get a shot of white paint are you concerned at all about the weight that that might

[01:00:56] Add and now i'm going to put it's good it can go on so thin because i'm painting white on white it'll go on super thin cool not covering anything so it'll be fine and then some new decals for it and it's good to go and then i've got your oh that impossible to fly flying wing the bucking bronco that thing sucked all right it was awful terrible i stripped all that tape and decoupage and whatever else was on there off of it it is

[01:01:26] Way lighter oh really yeah well that would certainly help it does it flex a lot though

[01:01:32] No more than a foam wing with a carbon fiber rod in it will

[01:01:38] So anyway it's stripped down well that will do nothing but help it i mean because it was kind

[01:01:43] Of heavy lights are off it lights were actually kind of messed up so yeah i just threw them away it was going to salvage them and it's like nah never mind you're gonna relight it if we can get

[01:01:52] It to fly i'll relight it so this is the one tommy purchased at joan all a year and a half ago yes

[01:01:58] And had nothing but no luck with it yeah finally did end up flying it kind of the next year six months ago but like i did no it was not good it was not good yeah although it did i will say this i will give the that airplane this credit it did teach me proper launching technique for those types of airplanes i feel like i got that down because it was so difficult to fly yeah and

[01:02:32] It's tough as nails and it's kind of tough as nails yeah i got a lot of practice trying to launch a lot of abuse yeah so and it will well i hope i hope it does well for you i hope we're going to get it to fly i hope you many many hours of fun flying that us up until about three hours ago i was going to paint

[01:02:53] It gray oh but now what white or blue red red it'll go back to red that was because it was red

[01:03:00] Before or something oh yeah but but i was i realized when i was cutting out new fins for it they look exactly like a shark bin so i was going to do a shark phenom in the gray be kind of cool but it was gray and if i were to hand it back to you oh no i'm not taking it back no it's yours

[01:03:14] Dave if it flies like a dream nope no i i gave up on it and i moved on all right gray it is i was

[01:03:22] Gonna say so in that case make it look like a shark make it look like a cloud make it look right yeah

[01:03:27] Put white on the bottom for a great white shark i was actually gonna leave the bottom white and top

[01:03:32] Gray there you go perfect i mean no reason not to i mean make it invisibly if you could but but you install like chrome monocoat on it there you go i hate chrome monocoat i'm not a fan either it's so difficult to work with anyway good enough so work bitch yeah i have nothing i'm gonna build the plane i got from terry but that's like i said that's like an evening's worth of gluing parts together and once we figure out the power system that's really all i've got on the queue although i was

[01:04:05] Going to add lights to the to the glow stick which is a turned into a little bit bigger project than i was expecting i figured it'd be a bigger project 60 size hangar knight all balsa stick but i think i've got the wing and covered and ready to put the lights in once i figure out how i want to do the lights because i want to do the lights because the fuselage is still covered sorry we're going off on different tangents here but i don't want to disturb the covering on the fuselage because it's still in really good shape and not mouse damaged like the stuff

[01:04:36] In the wing so i want to whatever i do on the wing i would like to be able to complement in the fuselage so i haven't quite figured out how i want to tackle that and because it's glow powered i don't want to just stick the lights outside like on the covering like like you did on the stick on that

[01:04:54] Solar stick well you could get the exterior ones that are coated yeah but you could get the slime

[01:04:58] Yeah from the glow exhaust start like that it'd be hard to clean and they'd get sticky over time and a new engine on it make it electric no i'm not going to do that no that would be an electro stick it would be an elect to grow electro glow stick elect glow i don't want to say

[01:05:16] Electro yeah i can't see it electro stick it'd be a glow grow glow oh boy what it'd be a glow glow stick

[01:05:28] Well it's a glow stick now because it's it it will glow in the dark and it's also glow powered so it's a glow stick that's what's going to say on the side of the fuselage or the wing i'm having like i said i haven't figured out how i want to do that yet but that's really the that's the only projects i have going on so perhaps we should start on the trimotor i've said that i don't know

[01:05:54] How many times and i get laughed at every time at least that's what i hear from me when you're like yeah we should because we don't ever not true i don't laugh and i believe we do i agree i just i'm not sure where to start honestly that's a big project to the beginning wherever we decide the beginning is how do you eat a whale one bite at a time that's what they say i've never eaten a whale i haven't ate this i would assume it would work want to

[01:06:21] Oh i got two weeks to get my projects cleared up and then reggie stearman shows up my house so

[01:06:27] Tell him no and start on a trimotor i'd rather work on reggie stearman

[01:06:36] Yeah maybe i could when i get back from my my work trip maybe maybe i'll prioritize really prioritize and get a start on that yeah don't leave it anyway okay okay that's all i got me too

[01:06:52] I'm good okay do you want you started it you want to end it well thanks everybody for listening
