Tommy and I were lucky enough to make it to Joe Nall 2023! To say it was fun is an understatement. We met a lot of people, met a lot of listeners, and made a lot of new friends! Thank you to everyone that came up and said hi to us.

The 3-D line at night

There were so many things that made this a special trip for me. It was my first time float flying. It was my first time seeing the iconic main flight line at Triple Tree. It was the first time I camped. It was the first time I got to see the Hangar 9 MB-339 fly in person (my future first turbine once it comes in). It was the first time we truly got to meet and talk to so many of our listeners, and the conversations were great!

On one particularly rainy day, we sat down and recorded an episode with Jeff Arsenault and Jimmy Botelho from the Rhode Island Aeromodellers club (https://www.riaeromodelers.club/).

On our last night at Joe Nall, we recorded an episode with a Lee Ray and Fitz Walker from the RC Roundtable podcast (https://rcroundtable.com/).

Once we got home, Tom and I recorded an episode as a wrap up of the event. If anyone is wondering whether or not it’s worth making the trek to Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff, SC for Joe Nall next year, the answer is a resounding YES! We’re hoping to make it again, so come and say hi!

Below is a photo dump of some of the pictures we took, along with the episodes we recorded at and about Joe Nall. I hope you enjoy looking and listening as much as we enjoyed being there!

Combat was fun to watch. Tommy flew in it and it didn’t end well for him!
