[00:00:00] I will do my best not to cuss, but I can't promise.
[00:00:11] Hello, everyone. Welcome to the RC Plane Lab podcast. I'm Ron. I'm Tom.
[00:00:15] I'm Lori. And I'm Crystal. So you guys are back. We're back.
[00:00:18] Welcome back. It's been a year since we've had the wives on the show.
[00:00:22] Time flies.
[00:00:23] It sure does.
[00:00:23] Welcome to 2022, everybody. 2022. I can't believe it's 2022 already.
[00:00:28] Time flies.
[00:00:30] Get it.
[00:00:31] Yeah, I got it. Is anyone scared that we have to call it 2022?
[00:00:36] Oh, like a repeat of 2020. No, I'm not.
[00:00:41] I didn't even think of that.
[00:00:42] Like 2020 also.
[00:00:44] Right.
[00:00:45] No, I didn't actually think of it that way, so I'm good.
[00:00:48] Okay, so what's been going on? We got ourselves a couple episodes ahead.
[00:00:54] We did. Thank goodness we did that.
[00:00:57] We did. We had, well, really the reason we did that is because we had a couple things happen, like going to Brian's, going to the swap meet. Like, we wanted to get it recorded while it was fresh in our mind. We did. Because I have a terrible memory, and I would forget a day later. So we were ahead by a couple episodes. No longer ahead. It is actually 2022 now that we are recording this. Yeah.
[00:01:18] Which, as you said, it's a good reason or a good thing that happened because COVID swept through the Dale household.
[00:01:24] Yeah, Lori and I both had it. She had it much worse than I did. Who started that, though?
[00:01:29] Tom did.
[00:01:29] It was. That was fast. That's a point. It was definitely my fault. I got it from somewhere. Yeah. I think I got it from work, actually. And then, yeah, I brought it home and gave it to Lori.
[00:01:42] And that would have been, like, the week after we came back from Brian's.
[00:01:48] Yeah.
[00:01:48] Because I'm trying to do the math on, oh, boy. No. It was two weeks, I think. Was it two weeks? Yeah.
[00:01:53] You thought it was the week before, and I'm like, no, no, no.
[00:01:56] He was diagnosed. Oh, kind of like I just did again? Exactly.
[00:01:58] Okay. He was diagnosed, well, we did a home test, but December 8th. Yeah.
[00:02:03] It was Wednesday night. I remember that.
[00:02:05] I remember getting the test for getting the picture of you guys of the test, and Lori's saying, I'm not pregnant, but there's two lines.
[00:02:12] Tom was hoping for a boy, and said he got COVID.
[00:02:15] Well, it happened. So, you guys are better? Right. Yeah. Who got the worst of it?
[00:02:20] I did.
[00:02:21] Well, I don't know.
[00:02:22] Yeah, you had a fever for a few days, didn't you? Like four.
[2:25] UNKNOWN: Ouch.[00:02:26] Yeah, so Lori felt really, really bad. Like, she was really sick, fever, chills, the whole thing, for about four days.
[00:02:31] Well.
[00:02:32] And then you kind of had the cough and stuff for a little while afterwards, and the sinus stuff, and then you're kind of okay.
[00:02:38] I lost my taste and smell for a couple days, and then it came back.
[00:02:42] Yeah. So, for me, it was, I felt like I just had a cold, really. I mean, it was really no big deal, but I lost my taste and smell, and I haven't gotten it back yet.
[00:02:52] Yeah. About four days after he was diagnosed with COVID, he ran 10 miles. That tells you.
[00:02:58] But he couldn't taste anything he ate. But I couldn't taste anything I smelled. While on that run. That's true. Yeah, I feel like I would rather have had what Lori experienced.
[00:03:09] I don't know.
[00:03:10] Because she has her sense of taste and smell bad.
[00:03:12] You're about a month out now.
[00:03:13] Yeah. Yeah. I am a month. I think I would. Today, or tomorrow would be four weeks, right?
[00:03:18] Yeah. Since I lost my life. I think I agree, like, deal with the bad part for a few short days, and then get back to normal. Yeah. And then.
[00:03:28] I would rather lose my taste than. Than to be sick? Yeah. Oh, I was pretty pathetic.
[00:03:33] I don't know. I really, really like food.
[00:03:35] I was really pathetic. Because Tom said, how are you feeling? And then I would just break down and cry. I'm really tired of being sick. That's true.
[00:03:42] Really tired of being sick. That would still be me. Like, I admit it.
[00:03:46] I don't know. Guys are horrible when they're sick. It's like they're dying.
[00:03:51] Not all guys. Just me. Apparently Tommy wasn't, so. Well, I wasn't.
[00:03:55] I didn't really feel like I was that sick. Honestly, I thought, well, I'll probably just have it like he did. Because we're both vaccinated. Yeah. And just thought I would just breeze right through.
[00:04:05] And not to get on COVID, like, too much, but an interesting correlation you made, Lori.
[00:04:10] Yeah.
[00:04:11] Was that you got vaccinated before I did.
[00:04:13] Three months.
[00:04:14] Yeah.
[00:04:14] Before you did.
[00:04:15] So, and your symptoms were much worse. So, you were farther away from your vaccination when you got it. So, maybe that's why you felt worse than I did. Because I was closer to the point. Yeah. Yeah, it could be. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe that has something to do. I don't know. But the fact is, I cannot taste or smell anything. And that really stinks. And I don't know if it stinks. Because I can't tell. I can't smell it. That would be terrible.
[00:04:36] He can taste cheese.
[00:04:38] Yeah, salty things. Sweet things. I get, like, a vague sense of that flavor or taste. But, like, there's no aroma or, highs and lows to the flavors at all.
[00:04:50] See, that might be a good thing, though. Maybe I could lose some weight.
[00:04:53] I thought the same thing. But, no, I still eat more than I should.
[00:04:58] I made about four batches of cookies.
[00:04:59] Well, but I could probably eat things that I don't like that are better for me that I wouldn't like beforehand.
[00:05:04] Yeah, you could.
[00:05:05] Like, if I can't taste anything anyway, why not have fish instead of, like, broccoli instead of potato chips? Do you have to tell the texture in there? I guess I'm right. Yeah, I'm out.
[00:05:13] Yeah, but does fish really have, like, that different of a texture?
[00:05:16] Yes, absolutely flaky and gross and yucky and stuff.
[00:05:19] And then, because we had COVID, speaking of cookies, we had to cancel our cookie day.
[00:05:23] Yeah.
[00:05:24] Yeah, I was bummed. I was real bummed. Yeah, we didn't have a cookie day because you guys had to just get COVID.
[00:05:30] Yeah, so every year, for our listeners, the Holes and the Dales get together and have a cookie day, and we bake cookies all day and enjoy each other's company. But we didn't get to do that this year.
[00:05:39] Yeah, before Christmas, so we have stuff to hand out and pretty much just eat.
[00:05:43] I did make chocolate chip cookies at home, and we ate all four batches of them.
[00:05:47] We didn't do anything.
[00:05:48] While under quarantine. No, we didn't.
[00:05:50] We canceled completely and said, what? If they can't be here, then I'm done.
[00:05:54] Oh, we probably shouldn't have made cookies then.
[00:05:56] Oops, sorry. Now we just see who's more important to whom.
[00:05:59] But I got out of quarantine just in time to celebrate Christmas, so.
[00:06:04] Yay, Christmas.
[00:06:04] Yay, Christmas.
[00:06:05] Yeah, yay.
[00:06:07] Bah humbug? No, it was okay.
[00:06:09] It was fine.
[00:06:09] It was just being sick leading up to that was not much fun.
[00:06:12] No.
[00:06:12] Yeah, I get it.
[00:06:14] There were no stockings for the children.
[00:06:15] And when I mean children, I mean our adult children. Right. We just had no energy to go out and do that kind of thing.
[00:06:23] Well, I've just been lazy, so I guess I don't have much of a… Well, at least you're honest. I mean, that's… I have wanted to do nothing more but sleep recently.
[00:06:30] Maybe you just felt bad for us.
[00:06:32] Maybe you have COVID. Maybe it was…
[00:06:34] And it's your asymptomatic.
[00:06:36] I was a sympathetic, sick person just for you guys.
[00:06:40] I do have to say, Ron and Crystal checked in on us every single day. Every day. And offered to bring us food and stuff, so. Yeah, that was awesome.
[00:06:49] Thank you. Thank you for that.
[00:06:50] In our defense, we knew you were going to say no. No, honestly, if you needed anything, we would have made the trip all the way in to go to a store and take care of y'all.
[00:07:00] Well, thank you. And we appreciate that. We really did. But luckily, we had a 20-year-old at home.
[00:07:05] He's 25.
[00:07:06] A 25-year-old at home who was our gopher, pretty much.
[00:07:10] Well, and our other kid who doesn't live with us.
[00:07:13] Yeah, he helped us out, too.
[00:07:15] I still don't understand how he didn't get it. He just kept far enough away.
[00:07:19] He lives in the basement. Well, he just got vaccinated, too. In August. Oh, August. That's right. So he was a lot closer to his vaccination than we were.
[00:07:29] But he also lives in the basement and kept his distance. That's true. Yeah, but you still think.
[00:07:34] Well, we still use the same factor. HVAC and all that kind of stuff. Yeah, exactly.
[00:07:38] I wiped it down.
[00:07:38] I don't know. Let's move on. Let's move on. Enough about COVID for now. So, as we said, we made it to Brian's. That was one of the last episodes. I remember Crystal and Lori both made mention when we got home that we promised, by the way, that we would not be coming home with any airplanes. Yeah, we lied. It wasn't an intentional lie as much as it was I had actually no plans on doing it.
[00:08:04] Well, we had good intentions. We did. Yeah. To not come home with airplanes. I'm weak.
[00:08:09] So did you accurately count how many airplanes you came home with?
[00:08:12] Oh, yeah. I remember last year, we inaccurately counted the number of airplanes we came home with. I don't remember that. Yeah, we said we came home with seven when actually we came home with eight.
[00:08:21] Well, mine was one this time. So that's easy to remember. That's easy.
[00:08:26] Yeah.
[00:08:27] And how many did you come home with, honey?
[00:08:28] Well, two.
[00:08:30] What did you? I don't remember what you got.
[00:08:31] Just one. No, just one. Yeah, I was going to say. I thought. Just the ARF that we talked about already. Ah.
[00:08:37] Yeah. We ended up taking stuff up there, which was nice. That should make you guys happy.
[00:08:42] Yeah. Yeah. How many did you take up?
[00:08:44] I net, I negative netted, I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to say, but what I'm trying to say is I went up there with more airplanes than I came home with.
[00:08:54] That's good.
[00:08:54] So it was a net loss. Me also. There we go. I think, right?
[00:08:58] Yeah, me too.
[00:08:58] Because I ended up getting rid of two or three.
[00:09:00] No, three I got rid of.
[00:09:02] Yeah. It's been so long. That's what I think. Sorry.
[00:09:05] That's my drink.
[00:09:05] I got that. That's very loud. Yeah. I'm sorry. Anyway. COVID. I'm just going to blame everything on COVID from now on.
[00:09:11] I don't want to. Okay. I don't want to get back to that, but I do want to say it was so funny. You guys came out for New Year's Eve and we played our normal card game. Yes. Oh, gosh. Here we go. I know where this is going.
[00:09:22] COVID brain is a thing. He has it bad.
[00:09:24] I do. He has gotten.
[00:09:27] He's normally really sharp.
[00:09:29] He is. Very sharp. And he is not quite as sharp right now.
[00:09:34] No. It's a real thing. I don't know how to take that.
[00:09:39] I feel like you guys are calling me an idiot.
[00:09:40] You're more on our level. Maybe right now.
[00:09:44] You're more on our level now. So we appreciate that. Thanks for coming on down. Okay. But no, it was good to come home with less airplanes and that should make you guys happy, right?
[00:09:54] Well, to me, it really doesn't matter as long as he can fit them in the basement.
[00:09:59] And that was really, for me, that was really kind of the purpose of that trip. I mean, I always like going up to see Brian and the shop and all that and seeing what's new. But for that, for this last trip, it was really kind of more about making room than filling it.
[00:10:13] Yeah. And I did. It was the same for me. Like, honestly, I did not plan on coming home with an airplane.
[00:10:21] Yeah, that's nice because right now the basement is nice and clean.
[00:10:25] It really does look… I mean, we mentioned it on the last episode, or I mentioned it, how nice it looked down there. It really does. It looks nice down there.
[00:10:31] Well, that's about to change. So don't get too used to it. But one of the nice things about having the basement clean, I don't know if we… Did we talk about… I think I remember Crystal not wanting me to hang things in the garage. Several episodes ago. I remember that. Way back when? Yeah. So things are hanging in the garage now. Yeah. How do you feel about that, honey?
[00:10:54] Hmm. Well, it is what it is right now. I don't mind it too much right now, anyway.
[00:11:00] So when will you start minding?
[00:11:02] When I want something to go in the garage and I don't have a room.
[00:11:08] Well, I was thinking about adding some more… Sh… Sh…
[00:11:11] Sh… Sh… Sh…
[00:11:12] I was, yeah. I guess… Okay. Well, that's… Those waters have been tested.
[00:11:17] Like where? On the other wall?
[00:11:19] Above the refrigerator.
[00:11:21] Oh, yeah. I guess that would be okay.
[00:11:24] You heard it here. Yeah, because I mean, I can kind of see Crystal… Because like, what would you hang up there? I mean, that's kind of an inconvenient spot, really. Yeah.
[00:11:31] I wouldn't do anything there. I don't care how many planes he brings in as long as he has the… As long as they stay in the basement. You heard that, right? Everybody heard that. She does not care how many airplanes I bring home. I really don't. So, when they start spilling into the space upstairs, then I have a problem. Mm-hmm.
[00:11:46] Yeah.
[00:11:47] When you have…
[00:11:47] Oh, oh. I will say, just because my basement… Well, the one half that's finished is nice, my freezer downstairs has a plane on it. It does not. So, anytime I need to get into it, I have to pick it up and put it on his freezer. Because, we have the, his and her freezers. Oh, my gosh.
[00:12:09] Yeah, they do. They have his and hers freezers downstairs. Chest freezers, yeah. Yes, we do.
[00:12:15] But, in my defense… Sorry.
[00:12:17] COVID cough, you doing okay there?
[00:12:18] It's still… Yeah. Yeah.
[00:12:20] I'm good.
[00:12:20] So, in my defense, because I'm great at defending myself, there is something wrong with my 3D printer. I don't know what it is, and I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I tried to print some more of the shelf brackets to hang those two airplanes on the back and side of my shelving unit thing that's down there. Shop, yeah. I don't know what's… Like, I don't know what the deal is with it, but it's not. So, what Ron is saying is it's temporary. It is temporary.
[00:12:45] Yeah, but that's not my problem.
[00:12:47] That's a good point also. Well, it will get fixed when I have a chance to look at the printer.
[00:12:52] Okay, well, earlier today, I put that plane on the floor again.
[00:12:55] I noticed, because I went back downstairs and put it back on the freezer.
[00:12:59] I didn't, actually.
[00:13:00] No, I didn't. Because I had to… I don't know what I went to… I went to get something, but I had to step over them and…
[00:13:05] Wait a minute. Your ceiling down there isn't lower than mine. I hang planes from the ceiling in my basement. In my workshop, not in the…
[00:13:13] He has some.
[00:13:14] I do have some stored up there. You don't want them to hang that temporarily until you get the 3D printer fixed, right?
[00:13:21] Maybe. But, I mean, one of them is that really small edge that I don't want to have to take apart.
[00:13:26] I like it.
[00:13:27] Or, no, not the edge. It's the small stick.
[00:13:31] Oh, yes.
[00:13:32] And that one is one that I need to get printed or get the shelf thing printed for. But that other one that nobody likes, the Edge 540, you can't take the wings off of it. So, it's not like I can pull it off. It's a one-piecer. So, yeah. Yeah.
[00:13:46] Okay.
[00:13:47] That's my reason for that. Justification is a path to a clear conscience.
[00:13:51] Nice. I like that. I have a clear conscience. I have no issues. I don't lose any sleep at night.
[00:13:57] To sort of get back to what Lori was talking about, yeah, she, I mean, bless her heart. Bless my heart.
[00:14:04] By the way, that's what you say in the South when you mean something else. Is it? It is. Yeah.
[00:14:09] Well, I don't mean anything else by that. I'm just saying I'm very thankful that she is so patient and generous with the space that she gives me in the house.
[00:14:17] Am I being buttered up?
[00:14:18] No. Okay. No, he's already got the space he wants, apparently. No, I mean, I'm actually quite happy with the space right now.
[00:14:26] And it also has to do with the fact that we are not actively raising small children. That's true. Anymore. That makes a lot of difference.
[00:14:33] It makes a huge difference. Yeah, whatever. It's fine. We're in that stage now, but it's okay. We paid our dues. And we are paying them as we go. Yeah. But that's okay. It's all good. So what do you think, like, based on last year to where we are now versus, like, you said, the basement looks nicer or whatever. How do you feel about all the different airplanes that are changing, like what's been here, what's not here, clean, dirty? I mean, am I?
[00:15:05] I don't have an opinion on that, really.
[00:15:08] Good. That means I am not in the doghouse yet, and I can make it worse.
[00:15:11] I wouldn't know what airplanes have come in and out.
[00:15:15] Yeah. I don't, I mean, once I bring them into the house and take them to my area, they just sort of disappear from view, which is sort of the idea.
[00:15:26] The one I see the most is the Christian Eagle? Christian Eagle?
[00:15:31] The little biplane.
[00:15:32] The little biplane because it's closer to the water.
[00:15:34] She got that right.
[00:15:35] Yeah. It's closest to the washer and dryer.
[00:15:37] Yeah. And it's not there now.
[00:15:39] Oh.
[00:15:39] Yeah. I took it down to pull the electronics to give, the power system to give to Ron, and I'm going to convert that airplane to nitro.
[00:15:46] Now you all know who does the laundry, and it isn't me.
[00:15:48] Well, I mean, you do laundry. But anyway, yeah, the, so you've never, you've never really.
[00:15:55] Tom has his own maid outfit and everything.
[00:15:56] When he does it, he has to dress up. It's weird. That's the image that actually went through my head when she said that. So weird that you should bring that up, Ron.
[00:16:04] We are partners, remember? Remember?
[00:16:05] Yeah. But no, I'm very thankful for the space that she gives me. Okay, that's enough of that. Oh, my God. It's never really an issue of contention between us in that regard.
[00:16:16] Well, when you're married for 28 years, we're going to ask you how well you get along.
[00:16:20] Now, it hasn't always been that way. I'm just, I'm not going to say that it's been all,. That's true.
[00:16:25] Yeah, there has to be some compromise there. Yeah.
[00:16:28] And, years ago when we had small children, yeah, it was definitely not the same story.
[00:16:33] No, it was, this is the space you get and you do not spill out.
[00:16:38] So we… Yeah, but as far as keeping track of airplanes, Lori doesn't do that.
[00:16:41] I don't. Mm-mm. Okay.
[16:42] UNKNOWN: Mm-mm.[00:16:43] Which is good.
[00:16:43] As long as they don't affect her.
[00:16:45] That's correct. I don't think there's a need to keep track of how many you have or anything.
[00:16:49] I agree.
[00:16:52] Ron's face just lit up. You're putting more shelving units in the garage wanting to. And I'm fine with, above the fridge or whatever. But when it gets to the point where it's above, like, the shoe rack and everywhere and we can't put things that we've talked about up, then I'm like, okay. Well, I'll be honest. Now you're talking more about you're getting all what you want. And then that compromise starts not being there.
[00:17:19] My thought process for above that, like above the refrigerator on that wall, is for the big yak. When I get that, I'll put back together. I want something where I can easily store it. Yeah. Not have to worry about it.
[00:17:29] Like not in a trailer that leaks water.
[00:17:31] Yeah, that'll be nice because you have that downstairs right now, right? No, it's outside the garage. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, because it's on the counter.
[00:17:37] It's behind the other yak on the counter.
[00:17:39] Yeah, I helped carry that out. Ron Lifejacks, by the way. I helped you carry that out. I do. Yeah. Yeah, that'll be nice when it's out of the way.
[00:17:47] Cool. I'll start working on that one. Oh, gosh.
[00:17:51] Better get your 3D printer fixed.
[00:17:53] I will start on that. Excuse me. Sorry about that. Poor Tommy. We also had, let's talk about the Sonic Boom. Oh, yeah.
[00:18:02] That was really exciting.
[00:18:03] Yeah, I missed something.
[00:18:05] I did, too, but it was, luckily. Beep. I mean, you, again.
[00:18:09] I'm sorry.
[00:18:10] I missed it.
[00:18:11] It wasn't me.
[00:18:13] There she goes.
[00:18:14] It wasn't me.
[00:18:15] No, it's usually Lori with the foul mouth.
[00:18:18] I missed the darn thing. There you go.
[00:18:20] I got a little late. Anyway. I did, too. But luckily, and this was no surprise to me, Ron actually had it on video.
[00:18:28] Well, yes. And here, I don't know if I told you this or not. Here's the cool thing. So, I was at work, and there was this loud, we were inside, obviously, so you can't hear exactly what happened. It was just this loud boom, shook, like, it felt like something ran into the building. Everybody,. Oh, my gosh. What was that? Pretty much jumped up, ran outside, all that kind of stuff. But anyway, didn't know what it was.
[00:18:54] It took a long time to figure out that it actually was a sonic boom because, of course, it's on Facebook, it's on the news, it's on the radio, it's on everything, loud explosion heard. I figured it was close to us, but then I heard that they heard it at my mom and dad's house, which is over by you guys, which is probably, what, six miles? Six-ish miles, yeah. So, that's a big explosion.
[00:19:16] I heard that people in Williamsville had heard it. Right. And then even farther out. In Jacksonville.
[00:19:20] And Decatur, and so, and that's, I mean, you're talking probably 50, 60 miles, give or take, where you're starting to hear people heard this noise. And it's in a line, from east to, east to, or west to east, east to west, whichever.
[19:34] UNKNOWN: Yep.[00:19:35] So, they finally came out and said, yes, it was a sonic boom. Somebody flew, I don't know. F-15. F-15, which it also looked like it flew over the airport here in Springfield, and did you land, or did you touch and go, or?
[00:19:52] No, he did what we call a shooting and approach.
[00:19:56] Okay.
[00:19:56] Yeah, but he didn't actually land.
[00:19:58] So.
[00:19:59] What is that?
[00:20:00] So, shooting and approach is where the pilot uses his instruments to approach the runway for landing, and then before he actually touches down, he advances the throttle, goes around, and then leaves.
[00:20:11] Was he supposed to do this? I mean, like, what?
[00:20:13] The sonic boom? I don't think that was intentional. I don't know.
[00:20:18] Well, I was actually outside, and I heard it.
[00:20:21] Oh, did you? Yeah. So, a little backstory. Here in the, where we live, we live fairly close to Boeing, which fairly close. It's in St. Louis. Right, it's in St. Louis, where they produce the new F-15 XL, and the EX, I think, is the newest one. Anyway, so they do testing from time to time. It's not uncommon for them to fly in and out of Springfield, the airport, and, do touch and goes, things like that.
[00:20:45] This is the first time that they've ever actually let one go, what I'm saying? Which was really exciting.
[00:20:51] I immediately text him, and I said, something just blew up on the west side, and he goes, it was probably a transformer. I'm like, no, this had more substance to it.
[00:20:58] Yeah, because I didn't hear it. I was at work inside, and we hear nothing in our building because of where I work. Sorry about that. So, I didn't hear it at all. So, I didn't know the sound that you were talking about, and so she just said, loud bang. I'm like, okay, well, it's a transformer.
[00:21:12] I think I said something blew up.
[00:21:13] Yeah.
[00:21:14] Which is like a loud bang. Right. So, after doing, because I'm at work, so I'm, trying to kill time and figure out what's going on, I found somebody posted online, like, a picture of the flight track on it. I don't ever, like, believe exactly what I see online, so I tried to figure out where it came from. I found the actual flight and got on the website and stuff that that came from.
[00:21:36] It was so weird because it was like, the guy was flying, let's see, he was flying west, and then all of a sudden turned on whatever his transponder was, and he, like, all of a sudden just showed up on the flight tracker thing. He made some really weird, like, turns and stuff, and that shows, height and stuff. He got up to, like, almost 45,000 feet, I think. His top speed was, what did I say it was?
[00:22:03] You didn't. Why are you looking at me?
[00:22:04] Because I don't remember, it was, speed of sound is… It changes. Well, but at sea level, speed of sound is like 760 some odd miles an hour, right? So I think he got up to 1,100 miles an hour, which is nothing for that airplane. Right. But what was kind of neat about it is that we were talking at work and stuff, and I finally thought to get on my outdoor cameras, which is what you were talking about. And so, yeah, I got the exact second that it happened.
[00:22:31] There's another guy at work that, after I did that, he went and did the same thing on his. And afterwards, I was talking to my brother-in-law, who lives between us. No, I'm sorry. I live between them. And he got on his and did some searching, too. So his was like 10 seconds. My brother-in-law's was 10 seconds before mine. Mine happened. And then the guy that lives way out was like 15 seconds later.
[00:22:54] That's awesome.
[00:22:55] And it's like, that is so cool. You can actually see the timeline of when this guy is flying by at Mach 1 1⁄2 or whatever. He's actually flying. That's awesome. Yeah, I was kind of impressed. What did it sound like?
[00:23:05] Boom, boom.
[00:23:06] Yeah, it's actually two shockwaves.
[00:23:09] It is. It's a double boom. It's really cool. So it's a big deal here in the Midwest because we don't get to hear that very often. That's the first one I've ever heard. We don't have fighters anymore here.
[00:23:17] And that's my brother-in-law lives out in a small 15 miles away. Let's put it that way. He lives exactly 15 miles away from the Springfield Airport. And he said when they used to do air shows and stuff, I guess 15 miles is something where they kind of use that as a checkpoint or something. I don't know. But he said when he was growing up in the 70s and 80s, they did it all the time. And I had never heard him before. So I thought that was pretty cool.
[00:23:45] Yeah. I haven't heard it very many times, but yeah, it's pretty wicked. That was my first time. And depending on how close they are to the path, I mean, they can shatter windows and things like that if they're…
[00:23:57] Well, he was about 40,000 feet when he broke the speed breaker or the sound breaker.
[00:24:01] Right, but I mean, if he's off, if he's not directly over the top, then he's more distance than that.
[00:24:05] Yeah.
[00:24:05] What I'm saying? But yeah.
[00:24:06] A line between the two points.
[00:24:08] But yeah, it's a big deal. Like you said, it was all over Facebook and people trying to speculate what it was.
[00:24:14] Well, we're saying that things were rattling off their shelves and stuff, so…
[00:24:18] I can imagine. Like it was loud. But the thing…
[00:24:21] Well, I had to have been doing laundry downstairs. Piper comes down. I heard something. A bang. I'm like, I don't know. It's probably me shutting the dryer or something.
[00:24:30] No, it was a lot bigger than that. I don't know how you didn't hear it.
[00:24:32] Yeah, I don't know either.
[00:24:33] Because it was extremely loud. But what made me think it wasn't that, first off, when we were in the building, it sounded like one boom. So it sounded like something blew up. And secondly, I mean, they came right out and said, there's no aircraft flying. they called the airport. There's nobody flying around here doing anything. We don't have any military jets around. And then it took 25 minutes and they're like, okay, we're kidding, guys. It was us. It's all right.
[00:24:56] That's when he messaged me back and said, there's an F-15 in the area.
[00:24:59] Yeah. Yeah, because I saw it. I saw it in the pattern. Well, and what I think is so cool, well, I saw it too, actually, because I guess when he was coming around after he made the Sonic Bill. Assuming it was the same one. It may not have been the same one.
[00:25:09] If you follow the flight track, it was the same one.
[00:25:12] Because after he broke the sound barrier, he flew pretty far away, came back around, and then did the loop around Springfield. But when he went over Springfield, he went all the way down to St. Louis. Now, that's a 90-minute drive for us. Yeah. Less than 10 minutes. Yeah. He was in. Isn't that awesome?
[00:25:27] I want an F-15 for Christmas.
[00:25:29] Yeah. That would be so cool. That's so fast. Can you make that happen? No. And that's without breaking the sound barrier.
[00:25:35] Right.
[00:25:35] I mean, can you imagine? You could do that in two or three minutes. It's easy. Yeah. Amazing. Awesome.
[00:25:41] Yeah, so it was a big deal here in the Midwest. Sorry for any of you guys that get to hear that all the time. We thought it was pretty cool.
[00:25:47] You can tell how we're starved for entertainment. Entertainment. It ruins the sound of freedom. It really is. Yeah.
[00:25:56] I do miss having the Jets here because you don't hear them like you used to. Yeah, that's true. They sounded so cool.
[00:26:01] Do you guys, talking to the wives, want our listeners to know anything about us that you think maybe Ron and I haven't already told them?
[00:26:09] How would they know what we've told them? Well, they don't listen. Oh, that's true.
[00:26:13] They don't listen anymore. I really did quit listening. When you guys stopped doing the YouTube podcasts and then you went on the hiatus, then I never picked it back up again. That's okay. Yeah.
[00:26:26] I mean, that's…
[00:26:26] I was really good there for a while, though.
[00:26:29] You're right. Well, and that was a weird time anyway for us because… It was. We're trying to figure out what works. Yeah. I mean, we've been doing this a year and a half, a year and almost two years. Almost two years now, yeah. And we're still trying to find our footing. I mean, it's so weird because you don't know what's going to work. You don't know what people want. You don't know what people don't want. We tried the YouTube thing with doing the videos. Yeah.
[00:26:55] I'm kind of glad that people didn't want that because that was kind of a pain in the butt. And I really think like…
[00:27:00] I loved it, though, but it was a lot of work.
[00:27:02] Well, I think we… I think content suffered. I think a lot of other things suffered with that. And the podcast suffered, too. So I'm kind of glad we got away from that.
[00:27:12] Yeah. I mean, I don't mind… I enjoyed seeing the interaction between the two of us as far as the podcast was concerned. But it definitely… The content was definitely suffering because we were focusing so much energy on producing a good quality video that we spent less time, researching or doing whatever so that we could have good content for people to watch.
[00:27:33] And even that I don't think was a good quality video. I think it was okay.
[00:27:37] Well, considering you've never done anything like that before, I thought it was…
[00:27:40] Comparing us to other similar niche type podcasts, I thought it was pretty good.
[00:27:45] Well, I'm still… I don't think I'm ever happy, which is good, I guess.
[00:27:49] That's true.
[00:27:49] Maybe. I don't know. Not good?
[00:27:51] I can tell you not to deviate from that subject, but I did not think this time last year, I would not have guessed that we would have been recording every other week. Like, that wasn't really even on our radar back then.
[00:28:03] No.
[00:28:04] And the episodes are less…
[00:28:06] Yeah, the episodes were longer then.
[00:28:08] Yeah.
[00:28:09] Which I actually like the shorter episodes myself, just because it's hard for me to focus longer than about 20 minutes.
[00:28:17] I can see both sides. Like, I see good and bad. Like, if we had more to talk about, I would have no problem with going weekly again. Right. But I don't want to be boring because then you lose people.
[00:28:30] Right. And I don't want to… I mean, rehashing some topics, I think, is warranted. But some topics, to rehash them just so that we can record every other week is just not…
[00:28:43] And this is such a weird… So, I don't know if you can hear our dog drinking in the background. We're upstairs now. We are usually not upstairs, but there's so many of us that we had to make an adjustment.
[00:28:52] We're back in the dining room.
[00:28:53] Yeah, we did this last year. I don't like it. Like, the echoes are terrible. The acoustics are bad, but… Well, the…
[00:29:00] The acoustics could be better. I guess…
[29:03] UNKNOWN: Yeah.[00:29:04] She must have been thirsty. She was really thirsty.
[00:29:07] She's going to need to go out soon.
[00:29:10] But anyway, so, yeah, the two-week thing, I want to get back. Like, we've said it before, and I feel bad saying it. What can we not? Do we need to wait? Probably. We should probably do a pause. Yeah, see, now she's finished. And she walks in here.
[00:29:26] Click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click. Clicky-clack of the nails. Lay down. It's not going to lay down.
[00:29:35] So, we're real people.
[00:29:36] I mean, that's just what this proves.
[00:29:38] That's right.
[00:29:39] I don't think anybody thought we were fake before.
[00:29:42] We're not good enough to be fake. We're not putting on airs. Yeah, we're not…
[00:29:44] Yeah, there you go. Putting on airs.
[00:29:46] We're not putting on airs.
[00:29:47] With our noses in the air.
[00:29:49] This is it.
[00:29:50] This is real life. But anyway, two-week episode, what we were talking about before. My plan, like we said, is to go back to one week. I don't know when it's going to happen, though, because we just don't have the stuff to talk about.
[00:30:01] Yeah. I mean, I… Our listeners have actually kind of let us down a little bit. they used to…
[00:30:06] Don't throw your listeners under the bus.
[00:30:08] Well, they used to, email us pretty frequently, and the emails aren't coming as often as they're used to. Because we're boring. It is probably our fault because we're boring.
[00:30:14] Well, my brother should be listening. He said he was going to listen. Yeah, that's one new listener. Yeah.
[00:30:20] Why are you…
[00:30:21] My brother… So years ago, years ago, when we were dating…
[00:30:26] You and your brother were dating?
[00:30:28] No, when Tommy and I were dating. Oh, my gosh. When Tommy and I were dating, he helped my brother build a trainer. And this was, gosh, well, over 30 years ago. Anyway, recently, he bought another plane. And he has been talking to Tom about it. But when he asked me if Tom still flew airplanes, I said, yes. Let me back up. My brother lives in Florida. He doesn't live near us. So he's not on the up and up on the daily things that we do. He's not on the up and up.
[00:31:06] He's not on the… I know. We don't talk that often because he lives in Florida. That said, he and Tom have been conversing because he did buy a new plane. And I did tell him about the podcast. And he said he subscribed to the podcast and to the YouTube videos that you guys produce. So that is one new listener. Wow. Do you want me to prod him for some content? Yes.
[00:31:32] You do whatever you want to do. Yeah. Anybody who has an idea for us to talk about, it would be much appreciated so that we can get back to recording weekly. I would like that eventually. Crystal and I can come on.
[00:31:43] Yeah, I think once a year is good. Yeah. Now, once a year is fine. Just perfect. But so what's coming up? I mean, like…
[00:31:55] Well, we have yet to start officially the tri-motor build, which is… I know you don't want to assign blame or make excuses, but it's really kind of not our fault that we haven't done more on that.
[00:32:09] It's still our fault.
[00:32:10] We could have bought one somewhere else. Yeah, but when you're waiting for it…
[00:32:15] No, that's true.
[00:32:15] You don't want to buy two separate orders.
[00:32:18] Why not?
[00:32:19] We go through it.
[00:32:21] Well, eventually we hope to go through that much balsa, but…
[00:32:25] Yeah, so that's kind of where we are on that one. I don't want to rehash things over and over and over again. And disappoint our listeners further. I tried to get in touch with the guy again. I'm ignored and yada, yada, yada. So, but we do, by the way, have six months to finish.
[00:32:41] Six months.
[00:32:42] That's plenty of time to build a 12-foot wingspan tri-motor.
[00:32:47] I mean, honestly, we kind of, we sit a year and a half.
[00:32:50] But here's the thing, you guys… What's this we business?
[00:32:52] You're the one that put that time limit on us. Not me. I don't see anything saying, or from you saying, no, we need more time.
[00:33:01] Well, four months of that…
[00:33:02] I'm saying, no, we need more time.
[00:33:04] Fine. Last summer, he had a job change for four months, so that's part of it, too.
[00:33:10] Yeah, and there was a lot of travel associated with that, too, as well.
[00:33:13] There was a lot of travel associated with that.
[00:33:14] Not available. But, I mean, I'm not the only one that knows how to build.
[00:33:19] Oh!
[00:33:20] Looking at you, Ron. Oh, wow. Wow. Actually, we've been tinkering with the idea of trying something different on the build, actually.
[00:33:28] Yeah.
[00:33:28] I think we talked about that a little bit already. Yeah. We need to actually tinker with that and see.
[00:33:32] Well, it's cold outside now, and I don't want to go out to the shop.
[00:33:35] It is really cold.
[00:33:36] It is cold.
[00:33:36] I guess I could turn the heat on. It was windy last year when we did this. It was. What is it with the wind around here lately? It's been windy, like, all the time.
[00:33:43] I don't remember. Well, Tom and I listened to the podcast from last year to just kind of refresh ourselves with what we already talked about.
[00:33:50] Yeah. Was it good?
[00:33:52] We talked about the weather. It said it was cold and windy, and it's cold and windy again.
[00:33:57] So I kind of feel like that's why you guys remember, and I don't feel bad for not remembering what the weather was like.
[00:34:01] It is 100% why you remember.
[00:34:03] Okay, good.
[00:34:04] We did homework.
[00:34:06] I want to bring everything back around, okay? Let's talk.
[00:34:10] Circle back.
[00:34:11] So we talked a while ago about doing, like, a build night.
[00:34:16] Yes.
[00:34:16] Kind of something for our patrons. The time got away from us. Our plan was to do it, end of last year. However, as of now, February 26th. Yep. Is that what I have? Yeah. February 26th is a Saturday. We're going to do a build night for, or build day, I don't know what time exactly yet, for our patrons only. So if you want to be a part of this, you need to sign up for Patreon or through Patreon and then become a patron of ours.
[00:34:46] This is just our way to say thank you to those who have supported this for as long as they have.
[00:34:52] So what does that look like?
[00:34:54] What does what look like?
[00:34:55] What does a build night look like?
[00:34:56] Well, it's pretty much like an online hangout thing where it's a live, like Tommy, okay, so Tommy and I have super chipmunks. What are they?
[00:35:06] Goldberg Super Chipmunks. Goldberg Super Chipmunks. Goldberg Super Chipmunks, the electric ones.
[00:35:09] Such a cute name.
[00:35:10] It's a cute airplane. It is a really neat looking airplane.
[00:35:12] Wait a minute, time out. That's what you got from Brian last year.
[00:35:14] Yes. Yeah. So it's been that long since we've been wanting to do that. And I see you only remember because you just listened again.
[00:35:20] This is 100% true. But anyway. I'm trying to sound smart.
[00:35:24] So the plan is to put those together and then just kind of hang out with whoever else is going to get on the channel with us. And we'll figure that out later.
[00:35:34] So is there going to be a video on you guys? Yeah.
[00:35:36] Oh, okay.
[00:35:37] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:35:38] It'll be a live video feed and people can chime in. We'll hopefully see them and they can see us and we'll kind of figure that out.
[00:35:44] Ask questions. Yeah.
[00:35:45] And if they want to, if they have a project of their own that they're working on or want to build, they can do it while we're, while we're working on ours. And y'all can chitty chat. Exactly.
[00:35:55] Yeah. We're not reinventing the wheel. It's been done before. Other podcasters do it, but I'm going to have to learn how to do it.
[00:36:02] So that's something else we have coming up. Well, you have until February 26.
[00:36:04] February 26. It's a Saturday.
[00:36:08] So if you want to be a part of that and if you're not already on Patreon, you'll have to join and become one of our patrons.
[00:36:16] And then all the information that I send out on this will be through the Patreon connect, all that email stuff through there. So I think it'll be fun. we'll see how it goes. If it doesn't work out too well, then at least we get our airplanes put together.
[00:36:34] Yeah. And it gives you guys a chance to make fun of us for about two hours live. So that'll be fun.
[00:36:40] How do I long in?
[00:36:42] Are you a patron?
[00:36:44] I feel like I'm an unofficial patron.
[00:36:47] No. No. That's not how it works. No. So between now and then, you're going to need to make sure that you have all the stuff ready for that chipmunk. I think I have everything I need for mine.
[00:36:58] Yeah. I'm going to have to order. I think servos is all I need. Yeah. I think I have the motor and speed controller and battery and all that stuff. So. Yeah.
[00:37:05] I'm pretty sure mine's. We should be good. Good to go too. Are you going electric, Rob? They're both electric. Oh, I didn't know. Yep.
[00:37:11] They're both electric. Yeah. He's all electric, right?
[00:37:13] Mm-hmm.
[00:37:14] You don't want to do any nitro.
[00:37:15] Well, he's got gas.
[00:37:19] Plenty of that.
[00:37:20] No, he does. You are correct in both ways. Yes. I have gasoline engines, but yeah, no nitro. I gave Tommy all my nitro stuff, by the way. I'm done. Yeah.
[00:37:28] And I gave Ron most of my electric stuff. Most.
[00:37:31] Except for the chipmunk.
[00:37:33] Well, there's some airplanes I can't get rid of.
[00:37:35] Like what?
[00:37:35] That are electric. Oh. Okay.
[00:37:37] I know what you're talking about.
[00:37:38] Like the foamies that Dave built for me.
[00:37:40] Oh, yeah.
[00:37:40] I can't get rid of those.
[00:37:41] He has a foam Air Force.
[00:37:43] Yes, I have my foam Air Force. Yeah.
[00:37:45] I think I posted it on Instagram.
[00:37:47] And I do fly them from time to time. I didn't fly them at all this year, but I'll change that next year. Or this year.
[00:37:52] So what goals do you have for 2020 also?
[00:37:55] Oh, let's just jump right to the goals then, huh, Lori?
[00:37:58] I'm going to say more pictures.
[00:37:59] More pictures. More pictures.
[00:38:01] More videos. More videos. More videos about that.
[00:38:02] I'm terrible at taking pictures.
[00:38:04] Like, yeah. I started putting together a kit downstairs. I only got a couple pictures taken.
[00:38:09] Yeah. And we went out, so this is kind of another thing we should probably talk about, but January 1st, we normally fly every year. Mm-hmm. But we didn't do that this year, mostly because I had plans.
[00:38:20] No. But you did go out the day before.
[00:38:22] But we went out the day before.
[00:38:23] No.
[00:38:23] Mostly because, in all honesty, the weather was crud.
[00:38:26] Well, but before the weather, like, I already had plans and wasn't going to be able to make the January 1st flying. Even though we… Anyway, go on. But the weather was cruddy. Yeah. January 1st. So we flew the day before.
[00:38:41] It was rainy and windy.
[00:38:42] And the day before was actually beautiful.
[00:38:43] It was the last nice day of the year.
[00:38:45] Typical. Mm-hmm. Typical.
[00:38:47] Nobody caught that, right? And then January 1st. It was the last day of the year. Yeah, it was so nice. When I sit at the field, nobody caught that either. I was like, oh, it's the last nice day of this year, guys. And you're like, oh, it sure is.
[00:38:58] I guess.
[00:38:58] And they said it just like that. That's exactly how we said it. That's how I hear some of y'all talk. Y'all. Okay. But yeah. It was a gorgeous day. It was. Yeah. So it didn't work out all that well for me, but that's okay.
[00:39:17] Well, let's talk about that.
[00:39:18] You want to talk about it now or next time? We can talk about that a little bit. So my car is small, apparently. Like, I had an airplane. I was just going to take one. Like, I didn't want to overdo it because there wasn't a whole bunch of time to be out there. So I charged up the batteries for the Carbon Z Yak, not even figuring that it would not fit in the car. So something like, I don't know where that came from before I got it from you, but the wings don't come off.
[00:39:45] They're, like, glued on to where I can't get the screws off on the bottom. Nothing comes out. So that is why the wings weren't taken off in order to put in the car. So it doesn't fit as a one-piece thing. So I got all the batteries charged for that, went to load it up in the car right before we left, or before I left, and I couldn't get it in. Couldn't get it in the trunk. Couldn't get it in the back seat. Couldn't get it anywhere. Dang it. Couldn't get it anywhere.
[00:40:07] What that means. What? It means you need a bigger vehicle.
[00:40:10] Well, once they build the truck, I will have a bigger vehicle. We have to deal with that until then. So anyway, the only airplane I had that I could get together quickly with batteries is my Micro SU-26. And it was a little windy for that, but I did get one flight, I think, in that before I— One and kind of a half.
[00:40:31] Well, yeah.
[00:40:32] The wind took it as soon as I threw it out, and then it just did—it flew about 14 feet and then landed abruptly in the grass. But that was not a good day on that one. No. But you flew a couple things.
[00:40:45] I did.
[00:40:45] You actually—
[00:40:45] I took the old trusty stick, and then I took the new acquisition from the swap meet. And it flew fine. A little windy for that airplane because it's so small and light, but yeah, it was a good time. It was fun. But anyway, the reason I mentioned the whole flying on that is Crystal mentioned take more pictures. I took one picture the whole time we were out there.
[00:41:06] I took zero.
[00:41:07] So we need to get better about that. More pictures. Yeah. You're right, Crystal.
[00:41:12] Maybe if the wives would show up, we would do that.
[00:41:15] I asked. Yeah, I thought about going, but—
[00:41:17] I asked Crystal to go, and she's like, no. I was like, are you going to come with me? No.
[00:41:21] She doesn't even ask anymore. I don't remember why I didn't, because I almost did. It didn't seem like it.
[00:41:28] It was a straight-up no.
[00:41:29] Well, because you were leaving like right then and there. I was.
[00:41:33] Yeah, I didn't give you any time, I guess.
[00:41:34] Yeah, I needed another like half an hour to get ready.
[00:41:36] I was like, honey, I'm leaving. You ready to go? No. No. No, I am not going. But yeah, that was that.
[00:41:43] So in addition to more pictures, I think—and not to put it on the listeners again, but since this show, we do it for the listeners, a little more engagement from our listeners would be awesome. But that's when we need to go to the field also. That's the one thing Ron and I have always—I feel like we've been really good about is taking listener feedback and incorporating that into the program.
[00:42:04] And so I don't want listeners to be afraid to contact us if they have an idea or even if it's criticism or constructive criticism. Wow. Yeah. I have to say. COVID brain.
[00:42:15] COVID brain.
[00:42:16] Yeah, I'm just going to blame everything on that for Ron. But yeah, I mean, a little bit of content assistance from the listeners is much appreciated.
[00:42:26] Well, we haven't asked recently either.
[00:42:28] Well, that's true.
[00:42:28] I mean, honestly, we usually go over, hey, contact us, do this, do that. And we've had the episodes, that we've kind of had fallen in place where let's talk about this, let's talk about that.
[00:42:37] And not to alienate, man, the folks that have contacted us recently. I've sent out a few emails and if I haven't responded to you, I will, I promise.
[00:42:46] Yeah.
[00:42:47] And if I don't email you, we'll cover it on the show.
[00:42:49] Yeah. I think we got some listener questions coming up in the next episode or two. I think our next episode we're planning on doing that.
[00:42:54] But even the ones you do answer, can't you cover that in the podcast? We do.
[00:42:58] We do most, so most of the time, if you write into us, it's going to be answered on the podcast and not necessarily responded to, just because that's a lot. I mean, I would like to do that all the time, but we have so much time going out to other things that sometimes we can't give a long or lengthy response.
[00:43:17] Could you say, tune in, we're going to answer your question on the podcast.
[00:43:22] Sure. Tune in, we're going to answer your question on the podcast.
[00:43:24] Yeah. You could just…
[00:43:25] No, I mean, I'm saying that to any…
[00:43:27] Right, but you could reply that to them and just say, that's a really good question.
[00:43:32] That way they know that you're reading the email and going from there.
[00:43:35] Yes.
[00:43:36] True. I could get better at that, too.
[00:43:37] Me, too. Well, there's definitely things we can work on to make it better for the coming year.
[00:43:43] Like not rambling on and on like we're doing now. Right. To make it boring.
[00:43:48] It's a special episode. I've mentioned this before. Or I think it would be fun to do a live show. Yeah. Yes. Like go to an event. Oh, like that live? And cover an event. Yes.
[00:43:58] I know you're so scared of doing that. Yeah.
[00:44:00] I've mentioned it before. Yeah. And I really think that that would be fun. And I think our listeners would really like that, especially if it's like a larger event.
[00:44:08] -huh. That sounds absolutely terrible, to be honest. Really?
[00:44:13] Why is that? Why do you feel that way?
[00:44:15] Well, because I'm fine sitting here talking to you guys, but I don't want to see other people.
[00:44:18] Well, maybe we can just put a tent around you.
[00:44:21] It's not that I don't want to see other people. Let me rephrase that.
[00:44:23] You don't want to be on camera seeing other people.
[00:44:25] I'm not. Yeah, pretty much.
[00:44:29] You don't want to be on camera. I'm such an introvert. It's not. It's difficult.
[00:44:34] Like, yeah, I don't know. It's weird. Yeah.
[00:44:37] This is, honestly, doing this is so out of my character for anything else I've ever done.
[00:44:42] Taking the show on the road and interviewing people, that, like, really excites me.
[00:44:47] Really?
[00:44:48] It really does. Like when we went up to Brian's. Yeah. That was a lot of fun.
[00:44:51] Well, we still have interviews to do. We do. We still have people that have reached. We have people that have reached out through the Be A Guest Forum.
[00:44:59] Oh, nice.
[00:45:00] Oh, yeah. You don't know anything about this, do you?
[00:45:02] No.
[00:45:03] So, once our internet, and I think we're probably pretty close. We needed to start doing some testing. Okay. Once our internet gets better here, which it has, the plan is to start reaching out to some of these people that have kind of reached out to us and said, hey, I want to be a guest and going that way.
[45:19] UNKNOWN: Yeah.[00:45:19] We have several people we've talked to. So, we'll have to get through them and see who is a good fit and who's not.
[00:45:24] Yep.
[00:45:25] And kind of go that way. But, yeah. So, that's coming up.
[00:45:28] I like that.
[00:45:28] This year also.
[00:45:29] I like it. For sure. Especially now that, Starlink is doing its thing and you've got good. So much better. Yeah.
[00:45:36] Yeah, it is.
[00:45:36] I mean, it is.
[00:45:37] What I would like to see? I would like to see you guys put your GoPro on more of your planes.
[00:45:43] That also would be a goal of mine. Yeah. I enjoy doing that as well. I know it's a pain to do the video editing and all that, but. That part doesn't bother me. That's a lot of fun to watch those.
[00:45:52] That part doesn't bother me because I can do that in my spare time at home here when I have a few minutes here and there. What is more difficult for that is trying to set up and going out to the field for a day of recording.
[00:46:03] Yeah.
[00:46:04] When other things are going on. I got it. Okay. So, but we definitely need to do better.
[00:46:09] I can tell you. Definitely this summer. For sure. I have shown so many people the Duelist video.
[00:46:13] It's a good. I enjoy that one. I really do. I love that.
[00:46:16] A ton of people. I just showed it at our get together on the first.
[00:46:20] You did, actually. And you were talking to her nephew.
[00:46:23] Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's. He was really impressed.
[00:46:26] I like that one. But see, I still. He was really impressed with the editing.
[00:46:30] Yeah, he was. Well, see, that's what I was going to say. I forgot to tell you. He said, whoever edited this, it's amazing.
[00:46:35] Yeah, I think it's bad. Like, last time I watched it, I was like, oh, that was. No. No, you should have done this, done that.
[00:46:39] It's so funny. Probably because you did it. Yeah. You did the editing. So, you're going to critique yourself and.
[00:46:44] Yeah, but to somebody who's never watched that video before. Correct. Or maybe never watched RC plane videos before. Correct. That video is awesome.
[00:46:52] And that was true.
[00:46:53] It really is.
[00:46:53] Yeah, that was true. Colin had not seen anything like that before. Yeah, it was.
[00:46:57] Well, and that's, it was good content. Like, I enjoyed that. It was. I thought it was pretty fun.
[00:47:01] But more of that I would like to do. Yeah, me too. Go out to the field with the GoPros, put them on the planes and the RC car thing on the ground. I think those shots are fun.
[00:47:09] Did you ever do anything with the footage of you guys trying to find the planes in the corn?
[00:47:15] No. No. Because we never found the planes in the corn. That's awful boring. So, the goal was.
[00:47:19] And I can't believe we didn't, we didn't find it. Ever? I don't think it was in the corn.
[00:47:24] It wasn't in the corn. Yeah. There's no way it was in the corn. We found beans in it. Yeah, crash. Post crash.
[00:47:30] Post Madden. Oh, so there were beans in it.
[00:47:32] There was beans, yeah.
[00:47:33] And you didn't believe it was in the beans. If y'all listened, you would know this stuff.
[00:47:37] Okay, well, back up. Yeah, we're not going to, okay. Back up. That's fine. They were GoPros in hopes of finding it.
[00:47:43] So, that's why I was going to, so I wore the chesty, the chest mounted GoPro. And I actually went out, Crystal and I both were out in the corn going row by row. And I was so hoping that the moment we saw it, it would be, I'd be recording. But alas, it didn't. And we're talking, it was at least an hour more. It was probably more than an hour of footage of just me walking through the corn and endlessly blabbering.
[00:48:11] Yeah, but you were talking about how you gingerly moved the leaves out of the way so the corn didn't get damaged. Yeah. It was great content.
[00:48:19] Yeah, that was, it was great if you were bored and trying to sleep and you couldn't
[00:48:23] Go to sleep. Exactly.
[00:48:25] Content, if you're hurting for content, you can always publish that. I am not hurting that bad.
[00:48:29] Yeah, nobody wants it. He'll be watching it. I mean, maybe somebody would watch it if at the end you actually had something to show for all that stupid footage of just walking through it.
[00:48:39] Well, we didn't find it again. Here it is.
[00:48:42] An hour later. No blame me.
[00:48:45] Yeah, but I would like to do more of that.
[00:48:47] There's no corn and snow on the ground.
[00:48:48] It took us a long time to find it. It took us a really long time. I was out there forever. Yeah. So more, more videos at the field. I would like to do more of that.
[00:48:57] Yeah.
[00:48:57] I think we can do that. Yeah.
[00:48:59] And more time for flying. You guys need to fly more.
[00:49:02] We say that. I mean, even when we're not doing a podcast, we say that every year. But we mean it.
[00:49:09] With every good intention, you are correct.
[00:49:12] We mean it. We really mean to fly more, but.
[00:49:14] Well, I think this summer, like we'd said, something came up with your job and you were traveling a lot more and it really did damper.
[00:49:21] Crystal had summer classes all this summer. Yeah. Now, we don't have to worry, right? You're done this summer, right? Yes.
[00:49:29] I should be, as long as I pass the board.
[00:49:32] Well, even if you don't, you're done with school.
[00:49:35] Yeah.
[00:49:36] So, yeah, that's fine with me. Right. So, that means more time for that. So, cool.
[00:49:39] What I think would be good? I think that you should make a plan to fly every airplane you own this summer.
[00:49:47] Oh, that's not going to happen.
[00:49:48] Why?
[00:49:49] Oh, that's actually a really good goal.
[00:49:51] Yeah. It can't.
[00:49:52] Well, then you have to come out and pick up every airplane that I own, except for like four. That's fine.
[00:49:57] Inventory and fly.
[00:49:57] I think that'd be really, because there's airplanes downstairs in my basement. They haven't flown in a long time, but there's no reason they can't fly.
[00:50:03] Right. Everything that's flyable.
[00:50:05] Exactly. There you go. Yeah.
[00:50:06] Okay. So, I'm okay with that because every airplane I have is not flyable.
[00:50:09] So, I consider an airplane flyable even if it does not have a receiver in it.
[00:50:14] Yeah.
[50:15] UNKNOWN: Okay. Good.[00:50:15] Yeah.
[00:50:16] But if it's still missing like an engine and servos and covering and all that stuff, it's not flyable. Right. Okay.
[00:50:22] Here's a question for you. How many airplanes do you think you actually own?
[00:50:25] I haven't counted.
[00:50:27] Built or unbuilt?
[00:50:29] Built. Both. Oh, I was going to say both. Both? Yeah.
[00:50:32] Crystal, I have a lot of airplanes that aren't built.
[00:50:34] That's correct. He collects vintage.
[00:50:36] Are they airplanes or are they just sticks right now?
[00:50:38] It's balsa.
[00:50:39] They're airplane potentials.
[00:50:40] Well, okay. So, is any wood that we have sitting around.
[00:50:44] Oh, that's true. Okay. So, airplanes that are flyable or airplanes that need stuff to fly. Like, we need to really quantify.
[00:50:52] Okay. If they have a motor on it, it just needs servos. Okay. Yeah. Because that's what you just said, right?
[00:51:00] Is that the wind I hear? It's windy. It's windy. Okay. Sorry. Go on.
[00:51:03] So, I'm counting in my head. I apologize for the silence.
[00:51:11] Ron, how many do you think you have?
[00:51:13] 18. I don't know.
[00:51:14] You have 18? 18. 18 airplanes are hanging in our basement?
[00:51:18] 18.
[00:51:19] Wow. That's impressive.
[00:51:22] I don't know. Well, they're not all hanging.
[00:51:25] Well, some of them are on the wall. So, I have some outside on the wall that I…
[00:51:28] Are you counting ARFs? Well, if they're… Yeah.
[00:51:31] Airplanes that fly. I said if they had a motor on it.
[00:51:33] Oh, sorry. My…
[00:51:34] Yeah.
[00:51:35] My mind went elsewhere when I guess you guys were talking about that.
[00:51:38] No. I said if it had a motor and it just needed servos. Yeah. Because that's what you just said.
[00:51:41] If it needed something minimal to fly…
[00:51:44] Right.
[00:51:45] Then that's counted.
[00:51:46] Yeah. I considered that fly.
[00:51:46] Like an ARF still in the box? No. We don't count that.
[00:51:48] No. Because there's no motor on it.
[00:51:50] I have several of those, though.
[51:51] UNKNOWN: Yeah.[00:51:52] I don't know what my number would be.
[00:51:54] So, yeah. Okay. Well, then how many kits do you have? I don't even want to speculate. Do I want to know that? I don't think.
[00:52:01] Well, I mean…
[00:52:01] It doesn't matter to me.
[00:52:02] Yeah.
[00:52:04] He likes to collect vintage kits. I do.
[00:52:06] I'm curious who… If… If… I'm curious between us who has more ready to go.
[00:52:11] Oh. Because you say 18.
[00:52:13] I'm pretty sure. But when I'm trying to go through things, I'm probably close. Yeah.
[00:52:17] Content for the next podcast.
[00:52:18] Yeah. Because you have a lot of micros that are airplanes that are ready to fly.
[00:52:21] Oh, I guess that… Yeah. That's four of those that I wouldn't even count or think of.
[00:52:25] And the L-4 down there, that's really technically ready to fly.
[00:52:27] The what? The L-4. Oh, yeah. The dualist should be ready to fly. Yeah. He's counting that one.
[00:52:32] Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
[00:52:33] Yeah. I'm probably at that number, too. Yeah. If not a little bit more.
[00:52:36] Okay. Next podcast, I want to hear your numbers. Oh, you don't listen anyway, so what's that matter? I'm going to start listening. My goal for 2022 is to listen to your podcast more often. So I want to hear it. I want to know. That's really… I mean, honestly, that would be a good number to know.
[52:51] UNKNOWN: Yeah.[00:52:52] I'm pretty sure mine's right at 18.
[00:52:54] You think?
[00:52:55] Mm-hmm.
[00:52:55] Plus or minus one?
[00:52:57] Plus or minus… We'll say three.
[00:53:00] Okay.
[00:53:00] Plus or minus two. Oh, plus or minus three. Okay.
[00:53:03] That's an awful big margin.
[00:53:04] Here, I'll start writing them down as you guys are talking.
[00:53:06] All right. I'm not doing that. I don't… I couldn't even tell you what half of them are named.
[53:10] UNKNOWN: Yeah.[00:53:11] A goal of mine, I think, for 2022 is in addition to flying more, I would like to fly with purpose. what I mean?
[00:53:18] Like with gusto, like, oh, let me go find it.
[00:53:21] Well, what I mean is you go out to the field and so many times you just go out there and fire it up and take off and just bore holes in the sky with no, like, real plan. what I mean?
[00:53:32] I love that you just said bore holes in the sky.
[00:53:34] Is this the first time you've heard that? Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. I should say that more often. I like it. I'm impressed. Oh, yeah.
[00:53:41] I'm impressed.
[00:53:42] She's beaming now.
[00:53:43] Well,.
[00:53:44] But I mean, like, I would like to work on…
[00:53:47] Your skills?
[00:53:48] Maybe get better at doing loops or, maybe I learned to fly 3D this year. Sharpen your skills. what I'm saying? Fly with purpose. Fly with meaning. Yeah. Have a plan.
[00:53:58] What is flying 3D?
[00:54:00] So, 3D is a term we use that basically indicates that an airplane is flying the way an airplane typically doesn't fly. Doesn't fly. Like, it'll hover. It looks like a helicopter. It has enough power to weight ratio that it can hover and it can do this crazy…
[00:54:16] Where it goes vertical, right? And just sit there.
[00:54:19] That's a hover.
[00:54:20] Yeah.
[00:54:21] Or hanging on the prop. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:54:23] Okay.
[00:54:24] So, that's 3D.
[00:54:25] Nice. I would come out to watch that.
[00:54:29] Really?
[00:54:29] Yeah.
[00:54:30] You'd come out to watch that because of the potential of crashing? I think that's what the…
[00:54:34] Well, maybe just watching you bore holes in the sky is not very riveting.
[00:54:40] That's boring.
[00:54:41] I agree.
[00:54:42] He didn't say rivet holes in the sky.
[00:54:44] Right. But if you're going to fly with purpose, maybe I'd want to see your purpose.
[00:54:49] You'd want to see me do like a 4-point roll over and over and over and over until I get
[00:54:53] You'd want to see it go from 18 to 17 to 16 to 15 to 14 airplanes.
[00:55:00] Right. Right. Anyway, that would be a goal of mine for 2022. Maybe get better at certain aspects of playing.
[00:55:07] When was the last time you crashed a plane to where it was like totally…
[00:55:09] You're asking me? Unusable.
[00:55:11] Yeah. Yeah. We already know Ron's. Do we now?
[00:55:14] What is it?
[00:55:15] Well, I thought in the bean field. Oh, yeah.
[00:55:19] She's not wrong. What was it though?
[00:55:22] I don't know.
[00:55:22] Whose fault are we blaming on that?
[00:55:25] Well, you want to blame Reggie, don't you?
[00:55:26] I do. Well, that's not…
[00:55:31] Anyway. You check your planes over before you fly them.
[00:55:36] Yeah.
[00:55:36] But this one…
[00:55:37] I didn't do a very good job.
[00:55:39] Anyway, doesn't matter.
[00:55:40] So what was the last time you crashed one?
[00:55:42] 2015.
[00:55:45] Not bad.
[00:55:46] I can tell you what airplane it was too. What airplane it was? It was a seagull nemesis. It was your nemesis. I was really proud of that airplane. It was really sharp.
[00:55:57] That was replacing one you also crashed.
[00:55:59] It was actually.
[00:56:00] Which was replacing one that I crashed.
[00:56:03] Yes. Which was one edge. Yeah. The little yellow and red edge. Anyway. Yeah. 2015 is the last one I really… I mean…
[00:56:11] Where it was unfixable. Yeah. What happened to it?
[00:56:16] Well, that particular design had a little hatch at the back of the fuselage for the receiver battery. Because the receiver battery had to go way back to get balance. See you, right? Yeah. So seagull provided a cool little hatch back there that had a little spring-loaded pin. And apparently when I installed the battery back there, I did not make sure that that pin was fully engaged. And the hatch came off in flight and so did the battery.
[00:56:39] Oh. But if it was a gas plane, you wouldn't have had that problem, would you?
[00:56:43] It was a gas plane. It was a gas plane? Well, it was nitro. Yeah.
[00:56:46] Oh.
[00:56:47] Yeah. The battery powers the radio.
[00:56:49] Oh, yeah. I forget about that.
[00:56:51] Yeah.
[00:56:52] I forget about that.
[00:56:52] Totally my fault. I mean, it could have been avoided. For sure.
[00:56:55] Well, most of them can be. Yeah. And you can't beat yourself up over it because it's part of flying.
[00:57:00] But it wasn't dumb thumbs that did it. It was just poor preparation.
[00:57:03] Dumb thumbs.
[00:57:04] Dumb thumbs. That's when you crash an airplane.
[00:57:06] I am super impressed with your vocabulary today.
[00:57:08] That's when you crash an airplane because you do something dumb with your thumbs. Mm-hmm. Right? Everybody knows that. Yeah. Right?
[00:57:14] I was today years old when I learned it. Mm-hmm.
[00:57:17] And I can tell you that the last time that happened, it's been a very long time ago. Yeah. Like, I can't ever remember the last time I dumb-thumbed one. It's been a long time.
[00:57:25] Interesting.
[00:57:26] The A-10 into the tree. That's probably the last time I dumb-thumbed an airplane. And that airplane wasn't really wrecked.
[00:57:31] Super Sportster into the tree for me, I think, is probably that one, too. Yeah. Where it was truly. That's been a long time ago.
[00:57:40] Oh, it's hanging up in the dining room. Yeah.
[00:57:43] Yeah. That's probably 14, 15. Yeah.
[00:57:46] Some of that time frame.
[00:57:47] Yeah. It's always been up there as long as I can remember it. Yeah. I don't want to see the dust on top of the plane.
[00:57:52] Yeah, the A-10 in the tree was, well, that was back at the old field. That was a long, long time ago. So how long have we been flying at the new field?
[00:58:00] That's been the field that I've ever known.
[00:58:03] That's the only one I've ever known since 2012. Yeah. So this was pre-that. So, yeah, that's been a long time ago. Pretty proud of that.
[00:58:09] All the other ones are normally just something stupid happened to the airplane, and I don't know what it was. And then you've got to figure it out.
[00:58:15] Yep.
[00:58:15] Which I think is what makes me more afraid of crashing. It's not my flying that I'm upset with or afraid of. It's the fact that stupid things happen. Brown outs, servo locks up, or something silly like that.
[00:58:30] You're afraid of the unknown.
[00:58:31] Stripped servo gear. I mean, it could be anything.
[00:58:34] And no matter how much you prepare, it's going to happen.
[00:58:36] Sometimes, no matter how much you prepare, you can't avoid the unavoidable.
[00:58:39] Well, I do remember Ron saying, I don't fly blindly. So every time I fly, I'm prepared to crash.
[00:58:46] You always have to be ready.
[00:58:48] You have to be. Yeah. You cannot be emotionally invested.
[00:58:52] If you have an airplane you really care about, do not fly it.
[00:58:55] Well, Tom was emotionally invested. But I think he redeemed himself. I was emotionally.
[00:59:02] Oh, yeah.
[00:59:03] Yeah.
[00:59:04] Yeah.
[00:59:04] But you redeemed yourself with the dualist rebirth. That's a pretty one. Yeah.
[00:59:09] It's an easy build. So if it crashes, it's an easy build again.
[00:59:12] How many months did it take us? It was six?
[00:59:14] Well, that's. Five, six, whatever it was. It wasn't a difficult build, though. It was just we worked slow. Time, yeah.
[00:59:19] Yeah. It was a fun build, actually. I really enjoyed building that. Yeah. I'd like to get back into building more. Yeah. That could be another goal for 2022. Build more. There you go.
[00:59:28] Oh, I know one you could do. I know one you could build. I beat your piper. I know one you could build. A tri-motor.
[00:59:33] Have you thought about that? Hey, that would be a great goal for 2022 to actually get started on the tri-motor. Have you thought about building a tri-motor?
[00:59:39] Yeah, that's going to take some time.
[00:59:40] It's really going to take space, too, because that's going to be a big airplane.
[00:59:45] Yep. So at least she's prepared for that.
[00:59:47] So those are my goals for 2022.
[00:59:49] I've got none.
[00:59:51] How about for the podcast? I've got none. Do you have any goals? No, not really. My goal would be to, for the podcast, I'd like to get more listeners. Oh, that's good. And I would love to get some, what?
[01:00:03] Here's a funny question. Do you have any idea what our download numbers are and stuff?
[01:00:06] I was going to ask that, but I didn't know. Just one of the ones you tell me. Like, I don't have access to the database or whatever it is you came from.
[01:00:13] Well, I think you do, but I don't think you've ever looked down. But that's okay. Offhand, how many, since the birth of the podcast to now, how many downloads have you had?
[01:00:23] I don't know exactly. We'd have to look at this. But it's over. I think it's around 50,000.
[01:00:29] Yeah, that's what you told me. Nice. It's been a couple weeks ago, too. I don't remember, yeah.
[01:00:34] I would like to see more how-to videos from you guys.
[01:00:37] I really do enjoy those. Ron doesn't like those. No, I don't mind them.
[01:00:43] He doesn't like doing them. Like, again, he's an introvert. Yeah, he doesn't like being on camera.
[01:00:47] I guess I should rephrase that. I should say, it's not that Ron doesn't like doing the how-to videos. He doesn't like being in them. Correct. And I don't know why. I don't know. I just, I don't.
[01:00:59] Because you're perfectly capable of doing everything that I do. Without him knowing, he would do fine.
[01:01:04] But you cannot do that.
[01:01:05] That would be possible.
[01:01:06] Oh, come on. You couldn't because the lights would be on.
[01:01:09] Yeah.
[01:01:09] Oh, gee, what's on this for?
[01:01:10] We're just playing. just playing around.
[01:01:14] But anyway, yeah, I would like to do more of those. And even though Ron doesn't want to participate on camera, I would like to do more of those. And we do have a plan for doing more. Like, I'm going to run the Sato, the three-cylinder eventually. Hopefully. Now that I have glow plugs. -huh.
[01:01:32] Mm-hmm. What other kind of how-to videos are you planning this year?
[01:01:36] Well, we've done a couple of repair videos. We have one more, I think, we need to do. We have one more ready. Yep. That we need to record. That we need to record.
[01:01:42] And we're just going to cut some parts for it.
[01:01:44] So we're going to do more of that. I think we're going to be planning on doing a covering video at some point, like cover a wing, a fuselage, or something like that.
[01:01:52] Something silly simple.
[01:01:53] Yeah. Something easy just to show the basics.
[01:01:55] Didn't I hear you were going to do an ARF video?
[01:01:57] We are. We're going to do an ARF assembly video. We haven't decided which ARF yet.
[01:02:01] We have. Remember now? Because when you gave me that motor.
[01:02:06] Oh, the Space Walker.
[01:02:07] Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I forgot about that airplane completely.
[01:02:09] That's right.
[01:02:10] I was like, what was I going to put this in?
[01:02:12] I do not remember. That'll be a super easy video to record. I'll tell you what.
[01:02:17] That is like wonderful Christmas morning stuff that I dealt with. I was going through. Well, because, it's stored underneath our desk right now because that's the easiest place to store it. And I was looking for something, went under there, and I saw that. I was like, oh, I forgot I had that. I completely forgot about that. That was going to be so fun to put together. And then that's when I remembered that's what that motor is for.
[01:02:37] Yeah.
[01:02:37] So that'll be enough to power that one, and we'll make it electric.
[01:02:41] And we will be. That's right. That's right. Now it's clicking.
[01:02:43] Now it's all coming back. I'll forget tomorrow. Well, what's my excuse? I don't have any excuse.
[01:02:48] But anyway, that. You have a toddler. Yeah. We're going to do the build video for the Skywalker. Space Walker, excuse me. Star Wars. As soon as it came out of my mouth, I was like, that didn't sound right.
[01:03:04] We're going to call it the Skywalker.
[01:03:07] Oh, yes.
[01:03:08] What is the name of the club? What do I call it? Knights of the Sky or something.
[01:03:14] Yeah, Knights of the Sky. No, Sky Pilots or something like that. I don't know. She used to call the club some weird name. What club? Knights of the Air is what the club used to be out in Riverton when we used to fly out there. Oh, I didn't know that. It was Knights of the Air. Oh, okay. I called it Knights of the Sky. Like Knights as in K-N-I-G. But she called them Knights of the Sky. I always got it wrong. That was it. Always got it wrong. Wow. Weird. So, yeah.
[01:03:38] But yeah, we're going to do some, hopefully we're going to do more videos. But yeah.
[01:03:43] I like the videos.
[01:03:44] I do too. They're fun to watch. Like I'm not a big fan of watching myself on video, but the videos themselves are actually.
[01:03:51] I like watching them on video.
[01:03:52] But I don't just watch ours. I watch other videos too. Airplane videos, I should say. Okay. Anything else you guys want to talk about? I am finished. I am full of goals for 2022. What else you got? Whether we actually achieve them or not, it remains to be seen.
[01:04:07] But throw them out there. Some of them might stick.
[01:04:07] No, I did. Oh, okay.
[01:04:09] We said full. I thought you meant you had more.
[01:04:10] Well, I mean, I want to fly more, build more, record more. I mean, it's all more. More of everything. More of everything. Well, and it's difficult to really. Less crashing. How about that? There you go. That could be a goal.
[01:04:20] It's difficult to say, okay.
[01:04:22] Fly every plane at least once.
[01:04:23] Every other weekend we're going to fly because you can't stick to that because it's very dependent upon the weather.
[01:04:29] Yeah. And what's going on with the families.
[01:04:31] Right.
[01:04:31] I mean, you never know. No, forget that. It's the weather.
[01:04:34] It's the weather. I mean, our people in real life are having guard and stuff like that. Yeah, that's just the first weekend of every month.
[01:04:41] I think it's time for you to quit your job and retire.
[01:04:43] Right.
[01:04:43] Trust me. If I could afford it, I would. Me too. Yes, you would. But that's nowhere near. For sure.
[01:04:49] And it really depends on travel for you.
[01:04:51] It does. Yeah.
[01:04:52] Okay. I'm going to plan on coming to the field more often. I like that. I am. Well, really. I mean, I don't fly, but just being there.
[01:05:01] Maybe you could learn.
[01:05:04] I'll do my best. That's all I can say.
[01:05:08] You can teach her, Tommy. Use one of your airplanes.
[01:05:11] We can go out, set up lawn chairs. I'll do my best.
[01:05:15] I will do my best. I'm not going to promise anything.
[01:05:19] What I heard out of all that was, oh, I need to start shopping for another airplane. To teach her to fly, right? That's what I understood it to be, right?
[01:05:27] I never said I wanted to learn. Yeah, we'll just watch you. Okay. Yeah.
[01:05:31] How exciting will that be? Not very.
[01:05:34] We can take pictures then. That's right.
[01:05:36] There you go. Okay. Okay. Are we done?
[01:05:38] We're done.
[01:05:39] I'm done. I think so. Are you done? I think we've covered everything. Bottom line, we try to do what works.
[01:05:46] And send in feedback.
[01:05:49] Yeah. Okay. When I said I'm done, I meant like I'm good. Are we good?
[01:05:53] I haven't said another word until now.
[01:05:56] Boom, boom. Bully for you. Good job. All right.
[01:05:59] I'm going to start saying that. Bully for you. What is bully for you? It's a European thing. They say that.
[01:06:06] It's like good for you. Way to go.
[01:06:07] Bully for you.
[01:06:08] There you go.
[01:06:09] Wonderful. Okay. Thank you. Thank you for listening. Until next time, I'm Ron. I'm Tom.
[01:06:14] I'm Lori. And I'm Crystal.
[01:06:16] They won't be here, but we will. Yep. Good night. Good night.
[01:06:20] Good night.
[1:06:24] UNKNOWN: Good night. Good night.[01:06:25] Bully for you. Bully for you.
